I purchased a tablet at Costco and the sales man recommended I go online and purchase a squretrade warranty for accidents as I was getting it for my daughter. The computer battery died after just over 12 months. SquareTrade refunded most of my purchase price.
I have not heard back on my repair. They sent me three copies informing me of the procedure to return mt phone, all had different claim numbers, There're seems to be some confusion. It has been several days and I have not heard anything. poor service

The refund that was given was not enough to replace the phone why pay for insurance if it cannot replace the phone or give efficient funds for a replacement.

Was told I would be shipped out a replacement phone and have still not received it .

I filled out the warranty claim form and within 12 hours had a shipping slip to send my item out. Four days later I received a new item as it was evident that it could not be repaired. Square Trade treated me fairly and was definitely worth the money.
Dropped my phone 2 hrs after set up. Sq Trade wanted me to return the phone and give me a full refund. I wanted it fixed. I called a local repairman on my own and paid him out of my pocket. I then showed him the Sq Trade email asking me to return the phone. The repairman said I work for them. We had to go the long way around the barn but I received a full refund.
When I tried to file a claim on line, the website kept failing at a certain point. I tried three times to file, but each time the screen would darken and I couldn't proceed. Very frustrating. I finally had to get a phone number so I could complete the claim.
I spoke with them twice. They referred me to the manufacturer however the manufacturer says it is square trades responsiblity to replace product
