I was supposed to receive my repaired item July 19th . On yesterday but instead It had been delivered to WI instead of NY. I do understand mistakes happens. But my son was extremely dissatisfied because it was his laptop. On his 11th birthday and we were truly excited leaving a celebration to make it home to pick up his delivered item. I have had 2 replacement phones at NO charge because of having Square Trade. When you contact them there are very few questions asked.
They initially agreed to replace my item (a jogging stroller that I procured on sale), and later decided to only give me the amount I paid for it, even though the original agreement explicitly states I would be reimbursed the replacement cost, not the purchase cost. Was an absolute bait and switch, poor business practice, and borderline unethical.

The manufacturer failed to have a 1 year repair warranty but only had a 60 day replace or refund plan. With almost a year of using the equipment the product failed. The manufacturer failed to do anything even though the 1 year was still valid. Square Trade understood and stepped up big time and I got my full refund which I used to purchase a new product. Having Square Trade payed off and I will purchase the warranty every time.
They never call you back. When they do, nobody speaks english. I am not a bigot, It's very difficult to understand them. It's been 3 weeks since I started this and every time they work with you they tell you they will call you back. I had to call them back every time. I have been waiting again for a response (4th time) to an E-mail to finish a set up for a problem to my laptop. Never called. Dropped my phone in the pool it was dead call fair trade they said three to five days and it was here within three
Printer failed to operate properly (paper jamming etc). Called to initiate my 3 yr service plan. Got an email after my call and was told how to ship unit to repair facility. Spent 35.00 to have it packaged properly and shipped via FEDEX Ground to Buffalo NY repair facility. Got unit back in less than 5 days. Got box home and opened it up to find printer control screen shattered , plastic housing bent and broken. In fact when I picked up unit the Fedex guy said it was a very poor packing job.
