TV went blank one day while watching it. Contacted ST, they first sent out some parts and I had them 2 days later, and had a repair person come to my home and install them. Still didn't work. He reported back to ST and 3 days later I had an email stating that they are going to send out a new TV, which came 2 days after that. I really can't complain.
I paid additional money to obtain this extended warranty, but instead of trying to find how they could help, I was immediately bombarded with why I don't qualify for reimbursement and all I had to do to file a claim. I was told I had to get a written statement from the manufacturer stating that they refused to honor their warranty or give me a refund. I was already upset with the damaged product. My two year old TV started to show dark shadows on the screen. Two days after documenting the problem, a new replacement TV was delivered to my house. I will not buy another high tech product without a Square Trade warranty.
Filed report online, printed shipping slip, dropped off got it back fixed within the week.
I decied to not use the warrenty. Was not able to be without my phone (needed for work). Phone still works good.
I submitted my request 2 weeks ago. The provider only called me once before business hours to schedule troubleshooting. Could not get a number to call back and they closed the case. had to wait on hold for nearly an hour, and then spent half an hour confirming all the same information, which they have to make a new case.
