"Square trades customer service is good. However, the item I purchased was somehow only insured for 1/2 of its value. When I sent it in for repairs I specifically asked them to return the item to me instead of issue me a refund if they can't repair it. They said that wouldn't be a problem. After it had gone through the repair process it was determined that they would not be able to repair it and they issued a refund. "So far I have not been able to get my problem taken care of. I am on the second try to get my PC fixed or get my money back. I replaced memory cards and then was told the problem is the mother board not the memory cards. I went through a technician supplied by SquareTrade and was not able to resolve the problem. "My 18 month old router breathed its last, and I was ready to toss it in the trash. Then I thought I might have bought an 2-year warranty from someone. I went to Amazon account to find out it was Square Trade. I filed a two-minute claim there and was asked how I wanted to receive my refund, and sent me a FedEx label to return the damaged unit. Before I could bring it to FedEx, my PayPal account notified me that Square Trade had already sent me a full refund. Pretty easy. Certainly will do it again. "

"My story started out bad. My boyfriend had broken my phone by accident. I was very upset with your service because I did not have a phone and I thought it was pointless that you had to call me. I went through a HORRIBLE time with apple. It has taken me a month to get my claim. I didn't have a phone for 5 days. I had like $800 on hold for my phone because the battery was cracked. "My phone was water damaged, so I Contacted square trade to file a claim.... First they (nobody who speaks a full word Of english) tell me they will send me a refurbished phone to replace my damaged phone which I declined since I read alot online about square trade refurbished phones are cr**. So they say they will pay me back for the cost of a phone which was my best option but still horrible! "My camera started failing shortly after I purchased it. Struggled to get the Square Trade registered, so decided to live with it. Then it failed completely, so I went back and worked to get the purchase registered, and file a claim. Claim interface on the web is poor. I checked the wrong box, and the claim was rejected. When I called, after a longer wait than I would like, the person was pleasant, and resolved my claim. The return process was simple, and the claim was settled in a timely fashion."

"This plan is completely a scam, when I had the issue on my cell phone which with the ST plan on, I called them, they just tried everything to tell me it is not covered. I bought the two years ST plan and the phone was getting old and getting broken only because the accmelate of the time and it was not damaged by any accident! I cancelled the rest of my plan and will never buy this scam ever!!"

"How am I feeling right now regarding SquareTrade and the experience I'm going through as I write this? Badly to put it lightly. Let me share to you my experience. After my phone breaking and being dropped in water I filed a claim and paid the $99 deductible. After that I received my phone in a timely matter and I was, you know, satisfied until.
