"Wow....I wrote a great review recently and am sorry I did that now! Although everyone at Square Trade has been very nice they do not understand their policies and make promises they don't keep. Additionally, they don't have a good tracking system so once you have a problem you are going to have to tell your story over and over. I have now sent multiple emails (most of which I never got a response from) and have spent hours on the phone trying to get reimbursed for the deductible they charged me in error. "I've heard tons of great success stories. In terms of what they offer, it's a great deal. Unfortunately, I just got super unlucky with ignorant customer service representatives. 4/13/15 - Filed claim. Smooth process, super easy. Had an ETA of 4/15/15. 4/17/15 - Still no phone. Called in, the rep told me not sure what happened. The claim was processed but it never got shipped out. She'd ship it out I'd have it by 4/22. 4/23/15 - Still no phone. "well had to call in 3 times to get someone to help with a return for service took over a week ....was very hard to understand the person on the other end from Pakistan or someplace like it....instructions on the shipping container were very hard to follow...I have had several sq.trade contracts before and have never had this much hassle before.for almost the same price and coverage I can get one from my local place ( office depot,walmart sears,ect) and can walk right in and they take care of it on the spot"

"Bought a used cell phone with a $50 one-year warranty. One month later the touch screen became unresponsive. Filed a claim in the AM. Received RMA and return shipping label in the PM and sent in the phone. Two days later was notified that a refund was on the way. Will definitely buy SquareTrade warranties again!"

"I bought a Square Trade warranty with a brewstation I purchased at Amazon, and I am so glad I did! I am just a couple of months shy of my warranty running out and my brewstation started leaking. I contacted Square Trade and they emailed me a shipping label and I took my package to Fed Ex and that night I got an email with my refund. I will have a new coffee pot here in 2 days. "

"My computer's manufacturer (Toshiba) refused to honor their warranty on my daughter's laptop. They claimed that although the laptop was under warranty, that the keyboard was not. The keyboard was defective and the keys kept falling out of it and could not be re-attached. Squaretrade agreed to repair this by replacing the keyboard without any reservations. "Broke my phone. Filed a claim on-line thinking I would recieve an email, nothing. 4 hours on phone to find out whats going on, once again thought the claim was processed, wrong. Been 3 weeks now, I had the phone repaired but don't know where to send the bill, once again I call ST, the claim is still not processed. On going Hell Update: With-in 2 hours of this review I got a call and my claim was taken care of. Thanks RR. ST may not care about customers but they do care about their reputation."

"It has become obviously clear that most of the individuals that provide a good rating to this organization have never really had to deal with their off shore customer service personnel or the individuals within their escalation department. BUYER BEWARE. If you have a choice in an extended warranty service, RUN!. "We are still waiting for a check from a laptop repair that we had done ourselves after the unit had been sent in 4 times and twice it was returned to us with a damaged screen and each time it was returned to us with incomplete repair work done."
