"WORST EXPERIENCE EVER I bought a TV at Sam's club August of 2014 and it just recently stopped working. I had all my paperwork and when I called on 8/11 they couldn't locate my warranty and asked me to email the receipt. After 3 days and no call, I called on my own. They still didn't have it. Salman Razzak had me email him the receipt and after her confirmed it, he told me it would be another 2 days. I asked to speak with a supervisor and he put me on hold and then hung up. "Didn't think I'd ever place a claim on my phone, but charging port was beginning to act funny. Placed my claim on a Friday, received claim # on a Sunday. Went to authorized local repair shop. By the time I finished my frappuccino (about 45 minutes) my phone was fixed and as good a new. My phone is nearing the end of the warrantee. Square trade didn't even wince at paying this claim. "Paper shredder died within Squaretrade warranty period. Filed a claim and they agreed to send me a full reimbursement. 2 months later still nothing. Contacted them and they didn't respond for 3 weeks. Then responded and said I had to send them the shredder at my expense - an item I had by then replaced and thrown out. Only after several complaints did then then agree to send me the money but required further paperwork (affadavit I had disposed of the machine). Worst customer service I can recall. "

"Wow, what a great company to buy a warranty from. They will work with you to try and fix the issue, and if the issue can not be fixed, they will reimburse you for what you paid. What set the bar higher was I had a TV that I bought 2 years ago, in which the receipt had faded all the way down to just a white sheet of paper. The representative, said he will try his best to adjust the contrast so that they can read the text. After a little of editing, the representative was able to make out the amount on the receipt. "EDIT ****** I changed my rating from a 1 to a 3. "I" had to email socialhelps@squaretrade.com and explain to them that there is absolutely no water damage on it since I took it to a repair shop to be examined and that I even checked it myself. I provided them the information to the repair shop. They basically said that they inspected the phone themselves and found "corrosion". "I bought a $3,000 camera from Amazon and of course I was getting the extended warranty. I had 2 options to choose from, a 2 year to cover drops and spills and a 4 year to cover drops and spills. I of course went the 4 years. I needed to have my camera cleaned, got a hold of SquareTrade and got everything to send my camera in. They in turn sent my camera to another company to have them check out my camera. That company called and said that the camera was beyond repair and that they would not touch it. "DO NOT use these guys. Obviously the average person does not need to return their product. IF YOU DO- they will tell you to call the manufacturer because it will be a cheaper fix. Not a SQUARE TRADE! I bought a security system form Tiger Direct. About 4 months down the road, one of the cameras start to fizzle out. After trouble shooting over the phone which took hours, realize its not the connectors or cords but the DVR itself. Over the next two months, all the cameras are out. "Moderately satisfied. Had to use them for the first time for many Android phone. Despite paying for next day replacement they couldn't fulfill. Tools me3-5 days. It appears that the rep was trying to convince me to go to a repair shop to save THEM money. After I pushed hard I was able to get them to rush the replacement, but not 1 day. Buyer beware. Not horrible but don't expect them to meet their SLA."

"i have been paying my 5$ a month every month on time since they charge me automatically. I had to make a claim and now getting square trade to pay out on that claim has been an ordeal. So far I have spent about 2 hours on hold and they have not responded to over 6 emails."
