"Complete dissatisfaction with my Squaretrade warranty. I bought a Samsung tablet roughly 2 years ago. This tablet was under warranty when it broke. I was told to produce a receipt of purchase even though it was a requirement to give this info prior to getting the warranty. I was told that, to receive a refund I was told to produce the receipt. Lucky that I bought this on Amazon, so I got the receipt and forwarded it on to Squaretrade claims dept and waited for a response and nothing for a week. so I called them up on their ... read more

"I bought a warranty for a DVD recorder purchased online. The item worked OK for almost a year but then started messing up. At first it stopped recording then stopped working altogether. I started a claimed, got an initial response within 30 minutes. Eventually I received a shipping label. Once I shipped the item, I received a credit to my PayPal account for the purchase price. "I submitted a claim and paid the $75 deductible, but was not informed of missing documentation--documentation that if not submitted should have prohibited me from purchasing a plan in the first place. But, SquareTrade got their money up front... twice (insurance+ deductible) before the claim just vanished into thin air and was not accessible through the website login either. "My daughter dropped her iphone and cracked the screen, I filled out the SquareTrade claim form, paid my $50 deductible, took the phone to the apple store and got it repaired the same day. Emailed the receipt and was reimbursed to my paypal account the next day."

"I am that guy, that guy who buys gadgets for home and personal use. I love my electronics and I used to swear by Best Buy's Warranty- until the day I ran across SquareTrade on a blog site. A web based warranty service- no way, but that's what won me over, the online convenience, customer service and pricing! I have been A SquareTrader since 2010 and I have yet to have an unsatisfactory experience- I could never say that about my BB warranties. "Awful experience. It took 3 weeks after filing claim to get a tv repair person out here. Then, all he did was bash square trade because they don't pay well. He installed parts that square trade had sent, but that did not fix the problem. He shrugged, said "its not my problem, I put the parts in" and left me to contact square trade. But they don't return calls."

"Absolute night mare we returned an I phone that was under warranty and received a replacement phone square trade keeps threatening us with a $500 charge. They have the return but claim they don't. Run from any coverage that square trade offers. We welcome any suggestions to a way to resolve this crazy problem. "

"the laptop hinge on my touch-screen Windows 8.1 popped apart after two years ... thankfully I had taken out a three year Square Trade contract ... I called the 800 number and got fairly quick attention ... I was advised I could bring the laptop to any computer repair facility and be reimbursed or send it in to Square Trade ... since the the rep said it might take up to three weeks sending it to Square Trade I decided on the repair facility option thinking I'd get it back sooner ... well, after the shop identified the proble... read more
