"I purchased a HP office jet 6500A e-all-in-one printer along with the 4 year Square Trade warranty. The black ink recently stopped printing and tried a couple things like cleaning the print head but it still would not work. I called Square Trade and the third person took ownership and called me the next day requesting that I ship the printed back to them, which I did. the day before it was received at Square Trade, they sent a check out for the purchase price which I bought almost 3 years ago."
"On September 1st my family and I had a house fire (didn't have renters insurance). It was in the dining room where my brand new laptop was. The fire pretty much destroyed everything on that side of the house including the laptop. (Don't worry everyone is safe and ok including the dog and cat, fish didn't make tho). When we where cleaning out the house I came across the computer. It had smoke, fire, and water damage. I was just going to toss it in the dumpster but my fiancée said we had the warranty on it. "My daughter tablet would not keep a charge after 2yrs of using. I had purchased the Square Trade Warranty from Amazon. I had to use it, and in total from the time I talked to customer service at Square Trader and sent my tablet off to be repaired it was less then 2wks total. I was SHOCKED, and would deal and purchase another Square Trade warranty in a heart beat. The service was excellent, fast and friendly. They also paid the the expense of having to ship the item there and back. Square Trade Rocks!! Thank-you . "
"Horrible, horrible, horrible experience with them. I bought my touchscreen computer in Oregon in November 2012. Last spring, my screen cracked. I'm a graduate school student, so I suffered through, until classes were over. I sent in my computer which was supposed to get back to me within 1 working week. 4 weeks later, classes had started again, I was still without my computer and without word or a check from squaretrade. "I had a previous insurance company that had been provided by my carrier but looked up the reviews and they were horrible! I looked at SquareTrade's reviews and they were much better and the monthly premium was lower so I switched. The switch was very easy and when I had to file a claim I couldn't believe how easy that was either. I sent my phone in to be repaired and got it back within two weeks. I'm very happy with SquareTrade. "
"The purchase process what fairly simple and filing a claim was also pretty basic. After that is where it drops off. Their overseas (India) customer service reps leave a lot to be desired. It took several calls to get my claim approved (make sure they had received the repair receipt, etc) When my claim was "approved" to be paid, they said that they cut a check. The next day I got an email that said that they "couldn't verify my mailing address" and to reply with a different address or PayPal acct info. I replied in minutes w... read more
"I've been using Square Trade for years and never had a problem using my warranties with them. The unfortunate reality is that too many companies make subpar products and don't cover them with a warranty beyond one year. Square Trade can give you the peace of mind knowing you can buy a warranty for a reasonable price and not have to worry about paying huge costs for a repair or replacement product. I don't buy anything electronic or electric without purchasing a Square Trade Warranty. "
"Very disappointed. After purchasing a 3 year warranty including accidental damage, Square Trade did not fulfill their commitment. Purchased a laptop on Amazon, purchased 3 year accidental damage coverage. After 2 years the computer was dropped and damaged. The insurance was for $500.00. They were sent the laptop and they mailed back the hard drive stating the issue was handled. My suggestion - NEVER deal with a company that does not stand behind what they sell. I'm heading to small claims court -- I'll win, I have no doubt.... read more

"Purchased Davis Vantage Vue wireless weather station a bit over 1 year ago. Exterior integrated sensor failed this weekend for no apparent reason. File claim on Monday. Received claim approval on Tuesday. Sent complete unit back via Fedex with Squaretrade prepaid shipping label on Wednesday. Checked email hours later and Squaretrade had already sent reimbursement (via Amazon gift card that I selected because of $10 bonus). Very pleased with speedy claim and reimbursement process."
