"Trying to get the McAfee working on my phone. It is giving me an error that I have already used the email to register another device which I have not done since I just got the insurance not even a week ago, and every time I call SqaureTrade I get a different number for McAfee every time. I try calling and I am given yet another number. This isn't very impressive for the amount I have paid :|"

"I own 35 square trade warranties. The first time I called I was told that my product was still under manufacturers warranty. They provide me a number to call HP. Turn up that it was a scam. The number provided was 1-888-466-2490. This was not HP it is some company trying to sell computer services. Beware. I will reconsider purchasing again Square Trade warranties. "Had a new Samsung Galaxy S4 repaired for cracked screen. Shipped it on the 14th of May. It is now the 24 of May, and it's still not repaired. I give this 1 star because of glacially slow service."

"Beware of their promises that they will transfer the "warranty" product if you should subsequently sell the item under protection. Their procedures are poor and not compliant with the policy wording, the call centre is of no help and provides incorrect information, their responses to emails sent to "warranty help@squaretrade.com" is non existent and six weeks later still nothing has happened with the transfer I now know that SquareTrade in the USA does monitor these reviews and they contacted me within 24 hours of my post. ... read more

"I purchased a radio off Ebay back approx 3 years ago and bought a warranty from SquareTrade for about $60. It was a last minute decision and figured I was already buying this expensive item off Ebay and figured, what's another $60. Oh yeah, the radio was 498.50 (So, roughly $500). I only purchased the warranty because Ebay advertised it to me and because I saw the reviews from the local TV & internet advertisements and they appeared legit. "It only took one phone call to do the whole process. After printing the prepaid UPS label and boxing it up, I had the refund in about 3 days."

"I bought a SquareTrade 3-year warranty on a whim during an electronics buying spree about 2 years ago. I didn;t remember I had even purchased a warranty until my product (Motorola S9-HD Bluetooth Headset) broke. Motorola wouldnt replace it after one year, but I noticed my receipt had me down for a SquareTrade 3-year warranty. I expected a lot of hassle and emails back and forth to prove purchase, etc., but ALL I had to do was log on, type in my email, and they already had a record of my warranty. "These are wonderful people to insure your appliances with. I've had nearly a dozen warranties in place with them for years, all placed because of a combination of positive Amazon.com ratings on the one hand and first-had experiences with Best Buy (Geek Squad) over the years on the other hand. When I finally had to file a claim myself, there were no silly questions, just got right into the problem and the circumstances in which it surfaced. "I will never ever get a warranty from Square Trade ever again. After a year later, they still have not paid me. Even right now, I have requested to cancel my warranty and yet and still, they will not cancel and have stole my money. I had a friend who had the same problems and there are many negative reviews about this company. The people and the staff work here suck and have stole my money. I warn others to beware before they do business with Square trade, thanks!"
