The process to get an appointment was handled well. Several parts were shipped directly to me to give to the technician when he arrived. I was notified the day before with an update on when the tech would arrive and got another notice when he was within 20 -25 minutes. The tech listen to my account of the problem and sequence of event. He ran several diagnostic checks and ended up just replacing the ice maker. Although the computer failed soon after I got it, Allstate quickly and efficiently paid my claim so I could order a replacement machine.
The customer service was truly excellent. There was very little wait time between filing my claim and the additional steps. However, I really feel like the cash offer (technically gift card) was extremely low ball. Since a replacement could not be found, I received less than $30 for a twin size heated blanket. Maybe I am wrong, but I’m positive I paid more than that originally for my blanket.
