I called American Home Shield for my air condition. I needed a new unit, but they couldn't give me one. However, the tech who came out was nice. My experience was good.

I had my hot water heater looked at. I submitted it and the contractor was here within the next day. I just purchased this house so I was really worried about it and it actually ended up being something as simple as having to relight the pilot light 'cause it's up in the attic. I'm kind of an old grandma and I couldn't get up there. But he was fast, he was efficient, he told me my hot water heater was still new and still under warranty and I did not even know that. Submitting claims with Home Shield is very straightforward. Royal Flush AC & Heating fixed the immediate problem I had, which was the capacitor. They were very professional. They are a very good service provider.
When I would call American Home Shield, they would immediately try to fix the issue. One time, they contacted Elite Pro to try to expedite the process for us. My refrigerator was down and before, I didn't know that I could call and make changes, so I stuck with the first company that was sent (ADA). I was so miserable with that company that I didn't realize that I could change it in between. Have had a repair person that fixed my problem with no wait to see if it was covered.
I've been with Home Shield for two years and I don't like how I can't change policy-wise. They only give me a two-month gap. After that, if I wanna change my policy, I gotta wait 10 months. Also, it would be better if they vet their contractors. A lot of the times the contractors they sent me had very poor reviews. There were issues with someone of them coming back or waiting on the parts. Also, they keep fixing the same issue over and over. Excellent customer service with a quick turnaround on repairs. Excellent quality service and repair.
We had a leak in our bathtub faucet. I would turn the bath faucet off and it would drip. My husband was here when Discount Contractors came. My husband said that the guy was in and out pretty quickly and he didn't make a mess. So I'm very satisfied. The faucet still drips a tiny bit but not constantly.
