American Home Shield sent out the contractor to fix my air conditioner for the first time. They had two guys and they said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it so I made a recall for a second opinion and another service provider came out. I'm a new homeowner so I was new to this process. The insurance package that was purchased was not purchased by me. It was purchased by the seller. I didn't know what to expect. I've been experiencing my hot water heater pilot light continuously going out. It's very odd because it didn't happen for a while when we first moved in on April the 22nd. And then it did it, and then the next month, it did again, and then it became more frequent. I've put in some requests for that. And now, I have stopped putting in a request, and that's for two reasons. One, I don't want to incur any costs for putting in those requests anymore, with it not being not totally fixed. Myers Comfort Specialist of Birmingham came out as scheduled and took care of the issue in a matter of minutes. The technician wore a mask, he kept his distance, and so I had no issue with him at all. This time, everything went well. In previous calls, it can take a little time to get on the schedules of the technicians to come out to the house. I had a leak in the guest bathroom in my house. The guy from Cascade Plumbing that came out was terrific. He was so nice. He listened to me and he didn't dismiss anything that I was telling him. So it was a terrific experience. I have about four policies with American Home Shield. Submitting a claim to them is kind of brainless. The air conditioning unit was cycling on and off. I’m usually at a computer all day long so I just logged right in to submit a claim. Once you log in, it was right there. The issue was it didn't give you the alternative, like a memo or note, because we had two things. When it asked questions, I didn't know which box to check because two applied. And it only gave me the option to check one. It should have a note box where if you wanted to say something because I wasn't sure which one would be the right answer there.When I sub... read more
It really is a relief to know they are there and it is well worth the money. They respond to our needs quickly and my GF Fridge was fixed in 20 minutes. They know what they are doing and I highly recommend this service to anyone.
Our refrigerator temperature was not regulated correctly. Submitting that claim was very easy. The technician that Home Shield sent out called before coming and I told him what was going on. He was very knowledgeable. He said that he knew exactly what part we needed and he got the part, showed up and fixed it. He was in and out in 20 minutes. The refrigerator has been much better.
There was something going on with our lights as they were flickering. Our power kept going out in very limited sections of the house, like one room or two different rooms. I was afraid that there was a short in the house. I called American Home Shield and Pajak Electrical Services was assigned to us. Pajak came very highly recommended.
