had some issues with fixing a water heater, but no issues and excellent service fixing heater.
The ice machine wasn't working and I submitted a claim online to American Home Shield, which took two minutes and it was done. I got my text message on who was coming out and set it up. The contractor was fine so that went well but the process didn’t. My ice machine is frozen so, the repairman couldn't break it apart to see what the issue was because it was stuck. AHS has sent a technician at the right moments.
American Home Shield is a great product to have for your home. If you own a home, you need to have it because anything can go wrong and they make it so easy to get the repairs done. When my lights wouldn't work in my bathroom. I filed a claim with them. I don't know what happened but the day that the technician showed up, the lights were working. I've been with American Home Shield about 20 something years and it’s been good. I recently had a washing machine fixed. I called it in and American Home Shield sent someone out. The guy was very professional. He did what he need to do. They took care of us.
Our pool light quit working and we had a man to come out and change it. It burned out. My husband dealt with the technician and he was very happy with the service. The technician said that there was something wrong with the GFI switches in the pump house and so we probably needed a GFI switch. My husband changed out the GFI switch and it still wasn't working. Everything has been pretty easy for me so far with American Home Shield. It's great for any issues that'll come with owning a new home. I made a service request for my broken garbage disposal and the process was quick and easy. Quality Plumbing and Drain came out and they handled it great. They replaced the garbage disposal. Everything took three days.
We had our disposal replaced and the contractors did well. They put a mask and shoe covers, which was what I asked them to do. They left for 30 minutes and came back with a new disposal and they changed them out. The new disposal is working fine, so far. We usually submit claims online and it's very straightforward. You can just do it on an app online and it takes a minute to do. There's always the fine print about the things that American Home Shield doesn't cover. So just make sure that you're aware of that.
The representative from GE Appliances, Charles, was very polite. He wore a mask and he wanted to know if I wanted him to wear foot covers. So he was very thorough. I felt comfortable having him in my home and he was able to resolve the issue. So, it was a slam dunk all around. Other than that, this is my second home with AHS and their service has been pretty good.
