Something was wrong with the oven. It wasn't heating, it was making a rattling noise, and it wasn’t turning on. The tech from Sears came out and he had to come back. I wasn't there and he kinda explained to my wife what was wrong. He did what he needed to do and took care of it. Everything went well. My wife said he was very professional and did a good job.
The pump for the pool robot didn't seem to be working. I called AHS and I got a text when to expect the contractor. Element Pool seemed real nice and they fixed the issue. They talked to me about what they checked and what they took apart. Then they showed me some of the issues. The tech was real good.
Our kitchen sink had backed up and then flooded our kitchen. My husband did a claim to American Home Shield over the phone. He also spoke to Price Right Plumbing & Drain Cleaning came out, and he said they were gonna call the next day. They called the next day. They were great. Now, we could use our dishwasher, our sink, and our washing machine because they're all linked up together. American Home Shield was professional, courteous and prompt with getting service out. It’s been good experience overall.
The technician from AC Wizard was very nice, knowledgeable, and worked very hard. He cleaned the AC and did a couple of adjustments. We were very satisfied with it and the AC is working really good now. Also, I had no problem with the claims process with Home Shield. I called and gave the credit card number for the $100 copay. How they did it was a very smooth transition. I'm very happy with the service and American Home Shield in general.
Our air conditioning was not working and I did the request online. It was 125 for someone to come out and when the guy came out, he told me what the problem was. He then went to work and fixed it. He had the parts with him on-hand and it was great. The fix worked for a couple of days and then he came back out because the fan motor inside the air conditioning unit went out. The air conditioning unit wasn't blowing cold air and the fan wasn't coming on. I put a claim in online with AHS, then Total Air Care called and made an appointment. The contractor was good and it turned out that a capacitor went bad. He had everything he needed on hand and he went right to the problem. He was able to get the capacitator replaced with no sweat and it all went smoothly. But since the service, the AC still doesn't seem like it's blowing cold air.
We've only been in the house for three weeks and there was an issue that popped up right after we moved in. Our toilet wasn't flushing very well. I submitted a claim with American Home Shield and that was really easy. I called once they gave me who the provider was gonna be and set up the appointment. It took maybe five days after we scheduled the thing for an opening to be up. That was a little inconvenient because we didn't really have a working plumbing for five days. My experience with Foxcroft was wonderful. I don't think I've ever had a better service guy. He asked all the right questions, did his troubleshooting and fixed the part. The inside fan of the air handling unit would stay running. Even though the thermostat was set at 72, it would be 70 degrees in the house. I have very few bad experiences with American Home Shield. They're very good at what they do and I wouldn't have continued this long if I hadn't had good success with them. It is super easy to do a claim online but I occasionally call in because I can have multiple service requests at the same time if it's for the same type of problem. For example, I can have multiple toilets done. I can't do that process online.
