It’s a good product for the most part. In recent years, after moving to Altamonte Springs, I have had a couple of issues with two of the vendors they sent to fix (1) plumbing- leaking faucet and (2) dryer repair. I was less than satisfied with the end result. The dryer repair was a nightmare that lasted over three months and required calls to the customer service offices at AHS headquarters.
I’ve been with American Home Shield for years and they have always done the right thing from having a repair done promptly to replacing an appliance that couldn’t be repaired. Covid affected all business and once it took a bit to get a part for the dishwasher. I was kept in the loop the entire time. In probably at least twenty years I have a new furnace, refrigerator, hot water heater and washing machine. And many others repaired and working great. American Home Shield can be hit or miss. But, I must say, when contacted AHS on July 5, I was super impressed. The customer rep was very kind, patient and understanding. He got me an a/c repairman immediately in the dead of summer!
Overall, my experience has been great. There's no issues when requesting service, the issues are resolved immediately.
