With American Home Shield, I can get professionals to come out and do all the stuff that I don't know how to do. When my daughter's tub would not drain, They sent Price Right Plumbing and they cleared a pretty large clog in her drain, and now it works. The techs were really quick. They came a little bit early, and they were very polite and professional.
I did a claim on my gas stove through American Home Shield. I did it over the phone and the rep I spoke with was very nice. I was told to expect the contractor between 8 o'clock and 12 o'clock. Somebody from GE Appliances called me like at 8 o'clock and he was here in 30 minutes. He was great. He's afraid of dogs, but he was very nice. The stove has been fine since he's been out, and the fan has worked great. I couldn't use it when it wasn't working. The repair helped because I'm able to use it every single day.
There was leaking from the connector on the hose and I requested a service from AHS. I did it online and they sent out Greenway Home Services. The tech came after four days and I wish the repair could have been done a little sooner, but I was satisfied that the work was done. He replaced the hose and while he was here, he wore a mask and gloves.
We had a side-by-side refrigerator, a freezer on the left and a refrigerator on the right, and the refrigerator side failed. C & C Appliance Repair came out and diagnosed the problem and they found out that the part was no longer available. It had been discontinued. They recommended that we get a replacement and they told Home Shield. I waited a couple of days. When my garbage disposal wasn't working recently, I called the same number that I always call and my claim was done through a computerized voice system. AHS sent SAP Services and they were great.
What happened was when Budget AC came, there was no water there. I didn't realize it because I didn't run my water in my yard for a long period of time ever. But we had sod laid and I had to water it every day for about an hour because there was a good area of sod. And they said, "You need to make sure that it's good and soaked," so we did. American Home Shield is fine. We've had it at a couple of different items now. We've had good luck with the contractors and we haven't had any recurring issues.
South Valley Appliance Repair came out and fixed the refrigerator but it's not working. I have to call them back because I have to replace the filter. So, I have 30 days, I'm gonna replace the filter and see if that helps it. Other than that, submitting claims with Home Shield and the contractors that I have come across with were usually pretty good. Be protected.
The dishwasher wouldn’t work and the panel at the top was messed up too. I called American Home Shield and it was hard to get in touch with them. I don't know if it's because of COVID or what. I had to call early in the morning. We were given the name of the company that was coming out. We got their phone number too. They did a good job and everything is working fine.
