I had First American at one time but I had to let them go. I tried American Home Shield on a whim and I'm very pleased so far. It’s going great. The claim process is fine. They call me in a day and make appointments. The only one where I had to wait was the plumber because he said he was backed up and I didn't wanna call and get somebody else. When I first moved from California to Las Vegas, AHS was recommended. I've had it for 20 years and I'm sticking with them even though I'm in retirement and they are getting a little expensive. I filed a claim when I had a toilet that kept running. Two parts needed to be replaced. American Home Shield sent me Advanced Home Services and everything went very well. A dishwasher quit working and we called it in to American Home Shield. The technician came out two days later and everything went great. He found some wiring that had come loose within the unit itself, and he was able to repair that. I like having a set rate to pay with AHS as well as the ease of service where I don’t have to go find somebody. They do that for me.
