I just bought the house, and the appraiser told me that the AC needed to be cleaned and that the coil and needed to be cleaned and possibly serviced, and that would help it. It started not cooling the house. It would get to a certain point and then if it got a little warmer, it wouldn't keep up with the heat. The first contractor they sent out diagnosed my ac wrong, I had my insurance company come out & they diagnosed it correctly. I called Am Home Shield & told them. They sent another contractor out & they diagnosed it correctly. They installed a new ac & furnace. The new contractors were very professional, knowledgeable & friendly. The first contractor was not very knowledgeable or professional.
I was referred by a relative to American Home Shield and they were very satisfied. I am as well that I took that referral and I'm glad to be a customer. The contractor was very professional and the repair was excellent.
We had to use our warranty and it was quick and easy.
I called Home Shield up and told them that my AC was having a problem. The first time I called, they had some other company come and they told me they would not come until two weeks later. So, I called them back and said, "Wait a minute, I can't wait the whole two weeks When I signed up with you guys, you guys say you would have someone there within 48 hours." My call to American Home Shield was answered quickly. The issue I had was fixed quickly and so I went with them. More recently, washing machine stopped. AHS sent Premier Appliance Repair out and the tech from there said that the issue was with the main circuit board which would have to be ordered. He said that it would take two to three weeks because of COVID issues. Still he explained everything and he was very good. When he came back, he explained what he had to do. AT Appliances came out for our microwave which was cosmetic, a little bit damaged. I thought they might take care of this, but they said cosmetic doesn't cover the repairs. The technician was the one who educated me that it’s not covered.
