The faucet wasn't delivering hot water. It appeared as if it was the dual hot water valve to the dishwasher. I tried a bunch of different things and thought I eliminated it. It takes a long time for the hot water to get through the pipes. That's why I tested it a few times with what I thought was cold, but it never got hot. However, in two seconds, JR Plumbing figured out that the hot and the cold were installed incorrectly a long time ago. So, the tech just flipped the lever towards the opposite direction, and the hot water... read more

For the first three years of my house, I didn't get a home warranty because it was new. But afterwards, I thought that this house was getting old and stuff would start breaking. I needed to get a home warranty then and I got one from AHS. So far, having it has been extremely beneficial for me. Recently, a tech from Ace's Garage Door Repair came out and he was very informative. He told me what happened to my garage door because I thought it was the chain, but the problem wasn't even the chain. It was the thing at the front of... read more

I moved into a brand new condo. The seller bought Home Shield, and I picked it out. I read all these good things about them and it was within the price range of what the seller would pay. I’ve used them four times and submitting a claim is very simple. A couple of times, I've had to wait for five minutes till somebody picks it up, but not normally. They then send somebody out and they always send the most professional, clean, and respectful people. We've done toilets twice and a dishwasher once. American Home Shield is very ... read more

The one thing I like about American Home Shield is that they're competent. There's just one thing though. It takes so long now, which is understandable too with this virus thing going on and if we get past that, I'm fine with them. I called in for my air conditioner and the State Heating & Air Conditioning technician replaced a part on there. He was nice, but I had asked him, "Hey, since you're here, could you check my Freon and make sure it's charged up good." He said, "Oh, no, but you don't need that." Now, a week or two l... read more

I had to rekey the whole house and the Realty Rekey came out. The tech showed up a little bit early but let us know he was on his way. He was wearing a mask when he came. It was great. Overall, my experience was real good. It was easy and prompt.

I logged into my account and I requested service from American Home Shield for my dryer. I paid $75, which is the amount that they charge for someone to come out, make an assessment, and fix the problem. Someone then contacted me and scheduled the appointment. Someone came over here, made an assessment, and ordered a part. When the part came in, someone came over and put it in. I worked with two different people and they were great. There was the one that came in initially and another guy who came in to do the install. Both ... read more

I called American Home Shield for some plumbing issues and Lindsay Company came out. They were good. The plumbing is working now and it's okay. I paid the garbage disposal from out of my pocket and it was $220. The only thing is American Home Shield is saying the garbage disposal cannot be reimbursed.

AHS should get better contractors. In the past, I've had some not-so-good contractors with them. Still, I would call their contractor back and they eventually come. Most recently, my garage door wouldn't work. The guy AHS sent for that was amazing. Everything is perfect now. I had a wonderful experience with this claim.

I got Home Shield when I bought the house that I live in 10 years ago now predominantly for the heating unit because it was nearing the end of its life. A couple years ago, we had it go out and we got everything taken care of. I'm pretty happy with their service. I had a clogged drain issue with the AC and Johnson HVAC were able to fix it in 10 or 15 minutes so it was nice, easy, and pretty straightforward. They were great. They've done some work for us through Home Shield. But Home Shield's new automated menu is a little obn... read more
