Our refrigerator would still turn on but it wouldn't cool. I did the claim to American Home Shield over the internet and the website was super user-friendly. I was given a lead time and then they said that the contractor would call the day before that he was gonna come and let me know when he was gonna come out. My son and daughter-in-law have American Home Shield coverage and they told me about it. I looked online and they get some pretty bad reviews. But so far, I've had them out three times and I've been very happy. The last time I called them though, it took a long time to get an answer. Joe Cools has always done wonderful work. They made repairs to my AC recently and they had replaced some major parts in the unit a year ago as well. They're there on time and they get it fixed. They do an excellent job, so I prefer that they come out and do my work. If I'm gonna request someone like them though, there's nowhere online that I can request it. I had a plumbing issue. I went online and asked for the service to be done. The gentleman and his helper came in and identified themselves. I showed them the problem and then they went right to work. They had the parts with them already. They had it repaired that day. I was very satisfied. AHS is worth every penny.
I had a leak where my water heater was, an area was flooded with water, and the water pressure was low in my house. As soon as I submitted the claim online, American Home Shield told me somebody would be reaching out within 24 hours. It’s quick and easy. My AC quit turning on. There was some water that had built up which would cause it to freeze over. Myers Comfort was sent by AHS and they were quick. I had to reschedule my appointment with them as it was when I was out of town. Once I rescheduled, the tech was out within a day. He fixed the issue on the first trip to my place. He cleaned out the water and fixed what needed to be fixed.
I've been an American Home Shield policyholder for many years and I continue to do so because I find the service exceptional. I requested a service online and the provider was sort of allocated. The claim was all taken care of very easily. The guy was called out because we didn't have hot water. While he was here, I talked to him about the blocked drain. I'm glad that I got the policy with American Home Shield. I feel pretty secure that if something happens, they would be there for me. They were very punctual and called back right away for a claim I had. They took my deposit and got me a plumber. The plumber came out and evaluated everything. He was so knowledgeable. I had other people look at the issue and they couldn't figure it out. But the plumber who came figured it out immediately. I've used American Home Shield twice and they were good both times. Recently, the AC was leaking through my ceiling. It was stopped up. It was later that night when I sent the claim in and the technician was out the next day. He was very quick, maybe 45 minutes at best.
