I called American Home Shield and told them I had an air conditioning problem. They told me somebody would be contacting me within 24 hours, but it happened over a weekend. I called them on a Friday, so the contractors called me first thing Monday morning and they came out Monday afternoon. The contractor was great, friendly, personable and he knew what he was doing. He knew exactly what it was. I've used AHS several times for different things and they've always been excellent.
I had an air conditioner that got overflown. Someone from SAP was sent out following a claim for the AC and the guy just said, "You know what, let me just clean it up." He cleaned it and fixed it, and I liked it. It was easy. The only issue that I had was when I called back and I talked to somebody in American Home Shield. It was easy to get my washing machine claim with AHS done. But then they gave me a contractor and then they had to get another contractor but that contractor couldn't it. He didn't have enough manpower to do it. Then, National Platinum Service came out and the unit is working good now. They were real professional and the guy who came out was good.
R K Plumbing was wonderful. They came out for the hot water heater. The owner said it was working fine. It was only a year and a half old model. The inspector couldn’t light it since he wasn't allowed, and the gas man said it wouldn’t light. So the problem was the part. I had no hot water. Kyka Tech did a rekeying for us and the technician did well.
Allcity Appliance & HVAC was very good on site. They worked on the pump that was going on the washing machine. They were quick, clean and we're very happy. All worked perfectly fine. As far as the process, they have to diagnose the issue, then get approval for whatever the fix is before they come in, order the part and get the ship squared. I had a heater issue and Peace of Mind came out. They assessed it and took a look at it. Then the technician determined that we ended up needing a new heater and so he handled the processing element of that. Then, once the heater came in, they came in and did the installation. He was timely, always notified me when he was coming. They took care of it. It did have a small leak on it. He turned around and he said, "Okay. I'm gonna leave it for a day." Dimitri came out for the microwave and he was really good. He was very knowledgeable and very efficient and clean. So I was very impressed. The microwave is working fine. He wore his mask when he was here and we stayed distant. I had to help him get the microwave out. But other than that, he protected himself perfectly. He was a real gentleman. I had another service that I was not happy with at all. I switched to AHS and, so far, their service is good. When my AC had an issue, I submitted a claim and it was really easy. I did it right from my iPad and they assigned Aaron Plumbing and Heating, Air Condition to come out.
