Recently, we purchased a house and American Home Shield looked like the best warranty option that I was looking for in the internet. They have the best reviews. The fan on our AC caught the wires and it blew out a capacitor. At first, American Home Shield wanted to send out somebody else. The last time they tried to send that company out, they were talking about coming out two or three days later. And hot as it was, I couldn't wait two or three days later. So AHS sent out Comfort Systems. I did the claim early that morning and they came out about five or six hours later and took care of the problem. Express Appliance was good and very professional. After the parts came, they gave me the next available appointment. It was a Saturday and turned out to be convenient. Since they fixed the appliance, we haven't had any issues. Also, they brought whatever was necessary to take precautions due to the pandemic. I had a plumbing issue and I sent in a claim to American Home Shield online through the app. It was easy and they sent out a tech from Immediate Response Plumbing & Rooter Service. But they were not able to fix the problem as the only way to fix it would be to replace the water heater.
The contractor was here Tuesday or Wednesday for the central air that wasn't working. It was leaking water out and spilling into the basement. It was a pretty quick and easy fix. Apparently, one of the tubes was clogged up so it wasn't letting water drain properly. They cleared it up and there has been no problem since. They were great. Something in my upstairs bathroom leaked through to my downstairs office. I made a claim on my homeowners insurance, but nobody does planning on a homeowner's claim. But American Home Shield did. I called the number, told them the problem and then they offered me a plumber. The plumber came couple days later and fixed it. They were great. The only hang up was that they had to go through American Home Shield a couple of times before the part would be approved.
There were some outlets that were tripping the circuit breakers. I reported it to Home Shield online and the website was very informative and very detailed. The only issue I had was that Home Shield doesn't pay for after-hour and weekend service so I had to pay an extra $125 out of my pocket. Other than that, Peak Home Performance was wonderful and very helpful and they explained everything in detail.
Response to service call was prompt and the service guys were very professional and quick. Pleased with the overall experience. Knowledgeable. Would recommend this home warranty service to others anytime. Very good.
The AC went out and when I called American Home Shield, they said they could have somebody out the very next day, which they did. The technician got out early and he fixed the problem at that point. This was Saturday and then, on Sunday, the AC went out again. We had to call them and had them come back out. They set everything back up and everything went smoothly.
