This was the first time I've needed to file a claim. I got this home warranty because last year, I had a lightning strike near my house and it fried some of my control boards in my appliances. I thought that would have been really bad if I would have had to replace several appliances all at one time. I thought the process was easy. everything is good no complaints, the wireing cover has fallen off of condenser unit, I put it back on. All the services were prompt and friendly. It is comforting to know if something goes wronk it is covered.
The fan of the AC was not turning off. I called American Home Shield and the hold was exceptionally long to get through but I was able to talk to a representative. They sent Ambient Air. We saw the technician without a mask at one point, but other than that, it was fine. He needed a motherboard. He had to order that and come back.
One of the burner in my cooking range was not working. The technician from Sears came out and in the initial investigation, he reported there were some parts that were not working. He first ordered the replacement coil. Then when he changed that, some PCB or something was not working. He had to come back again for that. I heard American Home Shield from my wife's family and I didn't look at other options. I just moved into an old house so it made sense. I've had a couple of claims, all was very easy and taken care of lickety-split. We had an AC issue recently that they sent R.E. Boggs out for. We had an issue with the toilet upstairs in my house. It wasn't mounted correctly and seemed to be posing a problem. So I sent the claim online and they sent back a confirmation. I got a call the next day from the maintenance guy. He showed up on-time and fixed the problem. He was in and out in 45 minutes. It was great. I'm so glad I have the coverage. I'm very satisfied.
I reported my microwave oven was not working properly via online. The next day a craftsman called and set up a time to come by and see my oven. the craftsman looked at my microwave and said he would have to order parts. Four days later the parts came in and the oven was repaired. I was very pleased with the entire process. I think american home shield did a fine job.
The repair technician repaired the issue. It's a rental property and he did call me and let me know what was going on. He was very upfront and honest, and he was able to make the repair without me incurring any other cost. That was great. My tenant didn't have any complaints so everything went well.
