My original service call to American Home Shield was for two appliances. One was a dishwasher and the other one was a fridge. The issues have not been resolved. Although American Home Shield thinks they're closed, I reopened them this morning because the dishwasher, on the first run, it had another error message. So, that didn't work. As far as the refrigerator, apparently, the technician diagnosed the problem. Then the contract was somehow transferred to another appliance repair person. Techno Appliance came out, and they c... read more

A Good Connection Electric did a very good job. They turned up when they said they would. They looked at what needed to be done and explained it to us, and went ahead and did the job. They wore masks and they had protected stuff. They put on the boots as well. We were happy. We've used AHS about four times and they fixed the issue each time. It takes a few days to get it organized, but that's okay. If I call them, within two or three days normally, they have someone assigned to me and that someone contacts me. Then he comes ... read more

The microwave was not rotating and there was a piece on the refrigerator that came off which held the bottom of the handle on. Also, the dryer had stopped working. The heating element had burned out. Submitting the claim was pretty seamless and pretty easy. I put it in and there was a little confusion on the website on my part, but once I figured out what it was, I had to cancel the claim I'd put in because I didn't know to put the right items in the first time. I got a really quick response back from McCain Appliance. The te... read more

My pest control person went in my basement and showed me where there was water in the pan for that unit. I called Home Shield, put in a claim, and the gentleman from A, R, & C Specialists came out. He checked the water and said the system was running, but it was clogged up. He went on and serviced that. He told me that the water would evaporate. The water still hasn't evaporated, but the system is running. He serviced us well by finding what the problem was. And in doing that, I thought it was odd that he poured the dirty wa... read more

The hot water heater was broken and All Points Plumbing came out. I told the guy what my problem was and he replaced it. It was nice to have somebody to call and American Home Shield took care of finding who to come because I'm new to the area. However, I don't think that I paid any less than I would have if I didn't have the Home Shield. Every time I call, I have to pay $75. Apparently, all they covered was the labor of the people. I don't see a lot of benefits except for the convenience of just having one person to call an... read more

My experience with my recent claim with AHS regarding the AC unit was good. My house has two systems so they struggled finding one of the issues but they kept coming out here. At first, they told me it was a coil leak on both systems, so they changed both coils. One system was good after that, but they found another leak. They said it was another leak that they have missed and they found, so they had to recharge the system. They came out six times for that unit, because they kept having issues finding it. They were always go... read more

Timely, efficient, professional, courteous - all for the "CTR Services" A/C team of technicians who serviced my HVAC on 08/27/2020. Their work reflects great credit upon American Home Shield and their company.

We were having lights that were dimming for no reason at all. A very nice man came out and serviced us. He knew his business and knew right where to go to find the issue. He solved the light situation and he really knew what he needed to do as far as getting things fixed quickly. He discovered that the wrong type of lights were put in to go along with the switches. The switches were old and they had new lights in it. They weren't compatible so that was causing the problem. He switched out the switches for us and it's been pe... read more
