My upstairs air conditioner unit went out and when I put in the claim to American Home Shield, it was simple. I went online, logged in to my account and submitted the ticket that my AC unit was not cooling down. The contractor was a great guy. He looked at it really quick and said that the problem was the capacitor. He tested it and confirmed that the capacitor was bad. He had it fixed within 15 minutes. I've had to submit claims to AHS three times in the three years and there was a little bit of confusion with the first one... read more

I've always had a great rapport with AHS. I’ve been with them a long time and it was very easy to submit a service request. When the motor on my microwave was burned out, it took 3 Boys Appliance Repair a while to replace it but I didn't get excited or upset about it. They had to order something, so you gotta have that in mind too. It took three weeks but when they came out, it took five minutes for them to fix it. They popped it in, and popped it out and I was very pleased with the work.

I went online and notified American Home Shield that I was needing a service request on my air conditioner. Their website was fine. I was told to expect the contractors within 48 hours. That part's a little bit confusing as to whether they should call you or you should call them. I ended up calling the contractor. The service was good. Using American Home Shield has been reassuring. We bought an older house. The air conditioning would've been a major expense.

I usually use American Home Shield's website for requests. When we had an issue with our dryer though, I called because I wasn't sure if it was covered. I was on hold a while, but that's understandable. Also, I did a couple of requests, but this is the one where they first put me in contact with somebody, and they said they didn't do that type of work. There was a miscommunication, and then I called back and American Home Shield found somebody else who was able to do it.The technician from Dandi LLC came and he was really po... read more

Submitting a claim to American Home Shield was somewhat difficult. Everything was automated. I would end choosing the wrong number and it was confusing versus speaking to somebody. Still, my AC problem got taken care of and I had no issues. AHS sent Ruiz Air Conditioning and Heating and the tech said the problem was the fan. He went somewhere, came back with a fan, and fixed my unit that same day. Now it is working perfectly. Right after the AC repair, my refrigerator went out and AHS's contractor is coming to fix that as we... read more

The contractor sent out by American Home Shield for a natural gas leak in my basement was great. They answered every question I had and were super professional. The gas leak is gone and everything is fine. My house doesn't smell like rotten eggs anymore. American Home Shield is useful.

The guy from Ramco Appliance Repair came out for an appliance issue. Fast service, polite, troubleshot relatively quickly, followed all safety components with COVID and whatnot, wore a mask. He found the problem and was done within 15 minutes then he was gone. That was the first time I had dealt with AHS and everything on the website was easy to fill out. It responded back to my email that it was submitted.

The guy from Smokey's Garage Door came when he said he was going to and he was very nice. Our garage door would go down, and then it would hit the ground, and then it would go back up. It was not closing all the way. I did a service order and it went great. The guy assessed what was going on, and then he replaced the motor. It works fine now.On the other hand, I had my air conditioning done as a different call and hygienically, the guy wasn't that clean. He did the repair fine, but I also didn't think it was very professiona... read more

Our pool motor pump went out and American Home Shield's contractor from PLO Pools came out to handle it. The tech who came was a very nice guy and he was very knowledgeable. He fixed my issue on the spot. American Home Shield's claim process has been fine. However, I wish I could speak to a rep quicker instead of having to go through a bunch of other prompts where I am made to pay for the service upfront. Still, they have been awesome and they've done everything I've asked them to do.
