I had two issues. My microwave wasn’t working and the dishwasher would not fill with water. The technician from Gilmore's Home Solution was very professional. He came in, identified the problem very quickly and fixed it, and he was on his way. The microwave needed to be replaced. It was an 11-year old microwave and there was some switch underneath the sink that just needed to be slapped back on. The process was fine. The guy from Hot and Cold Mechanical checked out everything, and he said there wasn’t anything wrong. I just thought maybe it might need a tune-up, but it didn’t. American Home Shield has been good. The only thing is the plumber man came out Monday, and he said he's gotta get back with AHS and he's gotta order the faucet for my bathroom, too. He was here last Thursday. That’s the only hold-up now. Other than that, the service had been good. The contractors usually come on out and do the service.
The contractor that came for our recent claim with AHS was here on time. As far as the COVID going on, we stayed our distance. He made sure that he wore a mask and I didn't ask him to. We showed him where it was at and there was supposed to have been two people come 'cause it's an upstairs-downstairs thing that one has to yell up and say, "Yeah, this is it." My recent A/C service request was handled efficiently and professionally. The tech asked me about the problem and symptoms before starting and narrowed the work down to a replacement capacitor. Only a single visit was required and I'm back to having an operating A/C system.
The AC stopped working. I did a claim to American Home Shield. The first technician wasn't able to repair it because that wasn’t their specialty. So, we had to get a second company to come out and do it because they're more familiar with the unit. So, it took two visits. It’s working now. The first time, my tenant waited. They reported Monday, and they came on Friday. Then the second technician came out the Monday after. Both technicians were very professional.
The service was great and the repairman was courteous and professional. The company stayed in contact when the part was available and the scheduling was easy for me. I would definitely want them back to make repairs.
Submitting a claim to American Home Shield for my AC issue was super easy. The people from Fleshers Refrigeration were very knowledgeable and willing to help. I guess I messed up and had somebody come out the night prior to look at my unit but they weren't willing to do anything other than try charging me $2,000 or replace my whole unit. Fleshers on the other hand had parts on hand and they replaced what was needed that same day.
My garbage disposal stopped working and there was a leak where one of the pipes connected to the garbage disposal. So, when I ran the water, water was flowing through the pipe. I submitted a claim with AHS and they sent out Fazio Sewer. They fixed the pipe and the garbage disposal, then they were out within 45 minutes. They even asked me to run it until I knew that it was running perfectly well. They had their masks on while they were here and they were really professional and fabulous. We didn’t have power in a part of the house. We called on Friday and the contractor came out on Monday. They were responsive. They found the problem which was a little fan there. The guys did a great job and everything's been wonderful.
