I had a problem with my dishwasher. The little part where it’s supposed to open up and the soap comes out was not working. AHS got ahold of whoever they needed and then those people called me and made an appointment. Fidelity Appliance Service came out and they replaced it. This time, it was fine. I had a bad experience before but it wasn't American Shield’s fault. It was the company that came in but AHS reimbursed me the $75 so that was fine. Has has been my choice for home warranty for 6 homes. Their consultants are courteous and always responsive. The company contracts with good local suppliers and have not ever had an issue from any. The cost seems high until you need it, and then it is priceless.
The AC's capacitor was broken. I sent my claim in online through Home Shield's system. And then, United Air Temp came and the tech fixed it up in 30 seconds. He had a capacitor in his car. It was 95. It was the perfect time so that was good. It was easy and United did a good job.
Whenever we call for an issue, Home Shield would immediately respond and send somebody over, especially fixing small issues, but when it comes to replacing, I'm doubtful. There has been an instance when we knew the dishwasher had some issues. We called American Home Shield and they said it was still working. Similarly, the compressor on the fridge was making noise and the technician said there was no problem and it was still working. But then we had to replace it. We've lived here 16 years and we probably bought American Home Shield at the beginning of 1988. Recently, we had plumbers come out and check the disposal. It was a timely response. They came out very quickly and after they messed around with it, they said it was okay. They told us some things that we needed to do to maintain it and left us some stuff to put in the disposal so that it would run better and stay in better shape. Thanks for helping us. Love the service. Contractor showed up the same afternoon. Problem corrected and AC working great. We have used AHS for several years and have recommended the warranty to several friends and family. Will never buy another house without them.
It sounded like our air conditioner unit was going to come down. We could hear something rattling inside of it and it kept getting louder and louder. We submitted a claim with AHS and they sent out Arizona Diversified Air. By far, from a lot of the companies that AHS sent us, they were the best. They said that they were going to be coming at a certain time, then they said that the tech was available early and asked if if he could come in earlier. American Home Shield has been great and I love them. It's so easy to submit a claim. I just go in and follow their system's prompts. I put in the choices they give me. If those don't relate to my problem, their system gives me options for "other" and I can still indicate more. Recently, they sent Indoor Quality Services for my AC claim. They handled it very well. I submit claims to American Home Shield over the phone but I did the first claim online and it was easy. This is my first home, so A-US Air was the first company that we had gone with. They were good and I like them. They were busy so they couldn't get to us right away. So, I understood that. But they were still quick considering the situation that we were in where every single little thing went out.
