The air condition unit was making a loud noise and I called American Home Shield to submit the claim. I was told to expect the contractor within 24 hours. They set it up and then, Absolute called me and set up an appointment. They were early and they finished in less than an hour. They replaced the fan motor and fixed it in a quick amount of time. Everything is good.

My wife submits the claims online, gives the credit card number, pays the deductible, and within minutes or an hour, the prescribed subcontractor sends a text or a call and it was cut-and-dried. When we moved in, there was a bad thermostat not seen by the home inspector and Mr. Cool came. Home Shield has a list of different people. They called Mr. Cool and they came out and put in a new thermostat in. It was pretty painless. Recently, the unit kept running in the middle of the night. It wouldn't get down to the thermostat se... read more

Submitting a claim to American Home Shield has been simple. You get online and type in what your problem is, and then they'll call you in about an hour. The AC wouldn't stay cold, so it just ran non-stop and it would get to about 85 degrees. The technician came out, cleaned something off, fixed a bunch of stuff and ran some more charge in the unit. It has been working since. When the pool filter needed to be fixed though, it took over a month to get the part. The technician said he was waiting for it to come in. Then, he tol... read more

There was no air being sucked through the return duct. I filed the claim online through American Home Shield and it was a lot quicker than getting on the phone. As soon as I did the claim, they submitted who was gonna be the contractor and their phone number to follow up with him if I wanted to. The contractor contacted me within the first four hours. They came out and gave me the diagnosis right away. Unfortunately, they weren't able to fix it because they had to get authorization to make sure that the work was covered unde... read more

Great company. Homeowner warranty companies can be downright "bad" and deciding which one to go with is difficult. We have contracted with several HW companies in the past several years. All were very disappointing so year after year we have moved on. AMERICAN HOME SHIELD is the best. We Rare in our second year with them and will definitely renew this coming October for another one year term. Not only are they a good company, but the vendors they choose are excellent. Love AHS.

AHS had another vendor that came here twice. They didn't identify the problem and we paid the fee. In fact, I'd like to get reimbursed for the $125 fee that was charged. Then the technician from Coastal Comfort Solutions came in and identified the issue. It took him 30 minutes. They had to order the part which was a compressor. The air conditioning was out for 12 days and we had delays in the part being delivered. The tech came back two weeks later and installed it. We're in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The house was ... read more

I was really happy with service that I received on the 5 of August. He was earlier than expected and was really professional. He took me out to the unit and showed me how to clean it and take care of it he also showed me which part he fixed which I appreciated. Overall a great experience!

I filed a claim online with AHS for an electric issue and they solved the problem pretty quick. A tech from Aim Electric came out, listened to what the issue was, and fixed the problem. Also, he wore a facemask, kept his distance, and cleaned after himself.

Their service is great. When I put in requests, I get a prompt response. The communication is good. They let me know. So I appreciate it. I'm satisfied with the service from what I've encountered. The tech that came out for my electric issue did a fine job. I was surprised that I wasn't able to cover a particular point that I had to pay out of pocket. So I need to follow up with AHS about that. But as far as on the tech's end, he did what he was supposed to do.
