American Home Shield sent Mr. Rooter Plumbing for the garbage disposal. There was no power to the garbage disposal. I did the claim online. The website was good, and I was given a three hour-window for the contractor to be here. Since the repair, everything's been good so far.
I was very skeptical when I first signed up with AHS. But I was very pleased with the prompt response to my claim. My plumbing issue was taken care of by a reputable local plumber. I could'nt have asked for better service. Thank you AHS!
American Home Shield's techs came a couple of times for our stove. He determined we needed a new one and said that he was gonna get me a new stove. But then Home Shield didn't replace what we had and they never contacted me about my stove. The three guys they sent who were working on the stove never got things right. American Home Shield sent Total Air Care out for an AC issue. They fixed it in no time and they did it wonderfully. The only thing is everything breaks on Fridays, and AHS doesn't offer Saturday service.
My broil in my oven was not working and my washing machine was dripping water when it was not in use. All the buttons kept jumping and syncing. The young man from Appliance Plus was wonderful. He was patient and very nice. He took care of me beautifully. He was with a mask. One appliance took him a little bit longer to get the part, but he was really a pleasure to have. Thumbs up. AHS is quick to send out someone that needs a repair, even on Saturday. They are professional, thorough, kind and explain to you exactly what the problem is. They are awesome. Thank you American Home Shield.
The claims part is fine, it's just that I feel sometimes the wait is way too long to get ahold of someone. That's the only part that I struggle with. I know there is the online option, but sometimes if we have to let them know, like if there is something specific going on about the repair, we cannot just generically select it from the website. I've had American Home Shield for close to 30 years. I have them for four years at this location because we've only lived here for four years but in our previous location, I was a longtime user of their service. Submitting a claim generally isn't an issue. It's just sometimes getting the issue taken care of is the problem. My biggest problem has been with the air conditioning because they sent a company out and they were nothing but shysters, and they didn't do anything. It seemed you could feel that there was air coming through the vent but it wasn't cold. So J&J Mechanical came out the first time. They thought it was just the Freon and they filled that up, and then the following day, it went back out again and then they came back out. They realized that something on the fan was broken.
