We have had our home warranty for almost 4 years. We have used it now on two occasions and were very pleased with how quickly our issues were addressed.
I was confused. We thought the issue was with the air conditioner. But a company suggested I have my duct cleaned. I went online and the claim was for ducts cleaning. Then Airmax came and said they came for the air conditioning. I thought they were going to do the ducts. They checked the air conditioner and I don't know if they solved the issue but the air conditioner is running. The fan on the compressor was hitting some wires. I went online and filed a claim with AHS. Their website was fine. The contractor that came was professional, knowledgeable and kind.
I submitted a claim 'cause the AC was working intermittently. The AHS website was really easy to navigate The options were all there and it prompted for all the info that was needed. Ace Heating & Cooling came out and they were amazing. We had to shift the scheduling because we weren't gonna be able to be there when we originally scheduled it for. Recently, our pool pump wasn't working. The contractor came out and it was the motor that needed to be replaced, but he didn't have it on his truck. He came back out a second time with the part and was able to get it running. We are now able to enjoy our pool. When we filed the claim, we got an automatic text message giving us the window and the contractor himself called to verify that window. Our Samsung frost-free refrigerator would get ice in it where it was not supposed to. The contractors who came out were excellent. They handled it in a half-hour and they were gone. It has been terrific since. My son got American Home Shield and they couldn't fix his washing machine and they gave him money for a new one. The assurance is that if they can't fix an appliance, they'll replace it for free so I recommend it.
The claims process was very quick and easy and there were no hidden fees. The guy from Ohahna contacted me within 24 hours and he came out the day after. Everything he looked at is working correctly. Overall, American Home Shield seems to be fine. I've had it for a couple of years and this is my first claim with them so I have no complaints.
Both the valves in the toilet when we flushed them, one kept running and would not fill up and the other one just wouldn't fill up. The contractor was there no more than 10 minutes, had it fixed and was out the door. They were on time. They were very good, too. The only thing is I, being old, don't like talking to a machine. American Home Shield was recommended to us by my realtor who has AHS for her home. She told me nothing but great things about Home Shield so I went with them too. My washer and dryer wasn't turning on for me one day so I gave AHS a call and told them my issue. They got someone out to address it the next day. The tech who came serviced the unit. Afterwards, he called and followed up to make sure that I had the part that was needed for my dryer. The service was really quick.
