We were having a problem with the thermostat and the AC, and it was when it was starting to get real hot out. The house before the repair was in the 80s so it was very uncomfortable. Although you can call or contact American Home Shield 24 hours a day, you cannot get emergency services 24 hours a day. My central air conditioning stopped working on a Sunday afternoon. Service did not arrive till Tuesday morning. That is reasonably quick but since i live in Florida and it is the summer, I would have hope to see quicker service.
The dryer wasn't drying and the knob to turn it on and off wasn't working. It all went smoothly with the claims rep when I called it in. The contractor was great. I can't survive without a dryer so I was very happy getting it fixed. It's always been an easy experience with American Home Shield.
City First Electric came out when the plug-ins in the house weren’t working. I submitted the claim to American Home Shield on the app online, which was easy to do. The contractor came out a lot faster than I thought it was going to. The plug-ins still work since the repair was made. The job got done and so I’ll give them a solid 8. Everything went fine.
Lake Area Appliance Services came out for our fridge. The tech was nice and very professional, and he stood by all the Corona rules.The claims process of American Home Shield is simple, and their contractors have all been nice too. They saved us a bunch of money.
We had a stove claim and we filed it online. The website was pretty straightforward. The guy from Always There Appliance Repair came out earlier than expected and so my son ended up being there. He replaced a heating element in the oven. It’s operating fine as expected. It’s improved the day-to-day because I could then bake and use my oven. Overall, it was quick and efficient.
To file a claim with AHS, I just go online and pick what product is broken and what brand it is. Then I usually get a text on my phone that says, “Your claim has been assigned to a company. Here's their phone number. They will be calling you soon.” The contractor usually calls really quickly. Sometimes, it takes longer to get an appointment, depending on what it is, but nothing has been outrageous.Their contractors have been great. My AC went out when it was 107. ABNation came out for a pool repair and they replaced my pool pump. They did it on the same day and they fixed it within a few hours. Now, the pool pump is working fine. American Home Shield has been good. I've been with them for 10 years and what makes me renewing is that I don't worry about finding a service person. They fixed my pool pump a few times, as well as my AC unit and my garage door opener. I’m happy with it.
To date, every issue I have had they have been exceptionally prompt, easy to do business with, follow up from a quality and or satisfaction standpoint and even gave me money back that I thought was owed. I've had my warranty with them for 12 years now.
