The AC system makes condensate and builds up water. There is a ¾-inch PVC pipe that leads to a drain, but that drain was clogged. When the AC builds up enough condensate and water hits the float point, the unit turns off as a safeguard. I filed a claim and AHS sent in a text message to let me know when to expect the contractor. I’ve been using them for quite a while now and the timing has always been pretty prompt. Moreover, the user-friendliness of the AHS website is as good as it can get. Knowing you always get professiona... read more

AHS takes care of me. Response when you submit a request has been A+. I was previously subscribed to another home warranty company and the switch to AHS was the best choice I could have made.

Two men called and asked to come about an hour earlier than the scheduled time we were told. That was nice because repair people are usually running behind time. They were professional, made the repair and gave us some information that will be helpful in the future.

Home Shield took a little while to approve my claim. But after they approved it, Jay's Inc had to find the part to fix the AC. And after all of that, it took nearly three weeks to get it done. But as soon as they received the part, they got right back out and fixed it. I realized that with this COVID-19, that things just are slow in everything. Normally, within a week or so Home Shield would get back to the company, and then it would be taken care of. It's not a long wait, but I live in such a small town, and they're located... read more

AHS will replace an appliance only after all repair actions have failed to make the item serviceable. Once an item has been deemed irreparable, new item of similar quality is offered. Or you take their cash value of the new item and apply it to one you want. AHS came with our home in 1995; we didn't use it in two years and cancelled. Sure enough, the third year is when the dishwasher goes out. Since our return to AHS, it has been an even trade over the years

We had a problem with our air conditioner, called customer service and within one day they had a repairman to our house and fixed the problem. Repairman was professional, courteous and efficient. The only downside to AHS is the wait times for customer service, you can be on hold from 1/2 hour to an hour and it's been like that for over a year. Other than that we are satisfied.

The garbage disposal was leaking, and so I went online and submitted the claim. The website was very user-friendly. They usually send me an email of the estimated time when the contractor can come out, and then they'll call and schedule it. The contractors who came have been professional, and everything has been functioning perfectly since they came out. The repair stopped the leak and the mess, so everything is good. American Home Shield is a great company. It is very reliable. They come out and fix, and they do what they s... read more

My flooring has started bubbling up in the kitchen and I thought I had a water leak, but I wasn’t really sure. I got on the website and submitted the request with AHS. They emailed me with the time and then the contractor called to make sure. It was a pretty quick deal. The contractors came out and it was not a water leak. It was an HVAC problem that was causing the floor to bubble up. They did the best they could. They didn’t have much to work with ‘cause it wasn’t a water leak. But they turned everything on and looked arou... read more

Unfortunately for me, it was hot when the unit broke down, but that's usually the case. I did the request online and I had to wait for a part, but everything was taken care of.
