A/C died overnight - called at 6:30am with the forecast being 108 degrees here in AZ. Assigned a contractor right away, contacted them and paid an additional $75 to expedite the service. Arrived at 1pm ... house already up to 88 degrees ... fixed within the hour and we had cool air. The customer service folks at AHS were great, the only drawback was a long wait-time due to Covid. The central air unit wasn't working so I submitted a claim with AHS. A technician came out and oiled it, and got it going again. So, it worked fine. I used AHS to have the locks rekeyed also. Their claims process was easy. It all went pretty smoothly. I would recommend AHS.
Timeliness of assigning repair service. So far they have been very courteous.
South Valley was wonderful. We've had them before so I was happy that it was them that was servicing my recent claim. They showed up on time, explained to us what the problem was and fixed it. They said they were going to order a part, which they did. They gave an accurate time frame and it was acceptable. I understood they had to order a part and it just took a few days. Their communication was also good about what would happen next. All in all, anytime we've used American Home Shield, it has worked out, so we're happy.
I would rate AHS five Stars for many reasons. First, was the quality of the vendors who responded to our need to repair/replace or 15 year old refrigerator. Prompt, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The first technician saw the need for two parts which he ordered. Our rep from AHS, Megan, assured me that she would follow-up on that order and expedite it as quickly as possible. They sent someone out in a reasonable time, and they took care of what needed to be done.
There was a broken component in the cooling portion in the evaporative cooler in the attic and when the contractor did their parts search, they could not find any manufacturer that manufactured the component parts. Their solution was to replace the unit. AHS had to pay a portion and I had to pay a portion. The process of filing my claim was very simple. Quick response did what needed to be done.
The contractor was fabulous and his service was excellent. He came out for five different things and did all of them. But when the water pressure gets to a certain level, the dishwasher door comes open sometimes. He checked around with his colleagues who suggested I turn off the circuit breaker and let it reset itself. It’s still doing it though. I need to call him again and try to get him back out here.
