This is my first home warranty, and my first claim.it was very easy to explain my problem and get a repair person.
Quick response time but additional $75 for each service request seems excessive.
I was having some trouble with my fan. I called the 1-800 number of American Home Shield, paid the deductible and they dispatched someone out. The tech replaced the fan. The service provided was really good. They're professional and I didn't have any problems. They were definitely knowledgeable about what was going and fixed it relatively quickly. I’m one of those old-schools and like to talk to a person. However, I have difficulty with AHS's wait times. You have to submit claims on the computer. They said that they were aware of it and they were gonna be working on it, but I haven’t seen a change. Other than that, the response time for the contractor to get back is always quick. Our claim all worked out well when the AC was not cooling. We’d have it at 70 and it would be 78 in here. The contractor did a great job. When things go well, it’s great. Many problems with LG refrigerators and too many different vendors to fix. That said ,it has been very cost effective And a life saver when AC went out and brilliant help with water heater.
No complaints. I'm a very satisfied customer. I would highly recommend American home shield to every home owner.
