Our garage door wouldn't go open and so we called American Shield. They sent a guy and it cost $75. Then, we were charged 250 for something that wasn't paid by AHS. I had to call too for the garbage disposal just the other day and the contractor came in and were gone within 10 minutes. They were in and out before I even knew they were there and the repair has been effective. The experience with AHS was good and I have no problem.
We move into our current home two years ago and inherited an old tankless hot water heater. We never had what I considered hot water especially in our bathroom. We were considering purchasing a new unit. We called American Home Shield to have the unit checked. Thank goodness we need. Our technician explained the system and with my permission increased the temperature. We have hot water without having to buy a new unit. We are extremely satisfied with the service. My wife pointed out a leak in the garbage disposal on Monday night. Early Tuesday morning I placed a service request and was immediately assigned a plumber who came out and had the unit replaced before 9:30 a.m. Very timely, very professional and we were very pleased.
The icemaker in my fridge was not making ice at all. I submitted the claim online and American Home Shield's website was very easy. I was told that Sears would call me within 24 hours, and Sears called me a couple hours later. The guy came right in, figured out what was wrong, and immediately had it changed. My garbage disposal was backed up. Heros Plumbing Service has been out to my house twice, and each time was excellent. The technician asked questions to see if he could diagnose the problem before he started tearing into the plumbing. From the questions that I answered, he said, “Oh, you know, I’m pretty sure I know what the problem is,” and he went straight to what he thought it was, and it was the problem. So, he got that. First Class Water Heaters came out when the water heater wasn't working, which was kind of an emergency. The tenant had little kids and she couldn't give them showers. I called on a weekend and the contractor came out the following Monday. He assessed the problem and tried to fix it, but it wouldn't work. The air conditioner wasn’t working. I submitted a claim with American Home Shield through the phone and I was given the contractor's name and number and that they would be getting in touch with us. And Air Climate Solutions did right away. Everything has been excellent since they came out. But we just put in a claim for a leak. Such a great experience. Filed a claim and a repairman was out the next day to repair the AC unit. He was very professional and kind. My home was cooling again within an hour of his arriving.
Everything went great with Heritage. They came the next day and their technician did the job and changed the motor that needed to be done. They also came for a maintenance job. Having American Home Shield is peace of mind because if something happens, you don't have time to worry. It's easy to make a call and get somebody to do the job for you. They have fulfilled all our requests. And if I need something, I call and find out, and they help me.
