When I went on and opened my account for the first time, it was easy to find my account and that was really good. On the first page, they made me check a box to move on to the next stage, but there wasn't a box that applied to what I needed to get done. So I had to say something different. The guys from Sub-Temp were good and really professional. They went straight to the problem and explained it to me. Their tech left me a number and told me to give him a call if I had any issues. We live pretty much out in the country so it's slow to get contractors here. But once they get here, they get to the problem.
Great experience. AC/Heat pump quit cooling at 2am. We notified AHS online at 2:30am. Repair technician contacted us at 7:45am. Tech arrived at 9am and found inside evaporate coil leaking on the 14 year old unit. After discussion with the technician and AHS we decided to replace the entire unit with a new one. AHS will provide $800 towards the new purchase which is the amount of the repair. Good thing we did this as we found other issues with the unit. A1 Quality Doors was in and out. Their guy knew what the problem was right away and he showed us which parts he switched out and what exactly he did, and he even went an extra step further and he programmed my remotes. I had just switched over to Home Shield. This garage door was my first claim. The claims process was a lot faster than I thought it was gonna be. My air conditioner wasn't working and I called in a claim to American Home Shield. Their contractor Weatherwise got sent out and the repairman who came was very good. We accessed our roof and it turned out that my unit was turned off. It was a very easy fix and everything went well. More recently, my toilet was leaking and another tech sent by an AHS contractor replaced the wax seal.
I went online and put the claim in for our AC. It was less than an hour that I got an email saying, “It's been assigned to Airmax and they’ll contact you.” And then the next day, Airmax contacted me and they were very responsive. They were able to send somebody out that day. And American Home Shield was great and we’ve had no problems whatsoever dealing with them.Airmax discovered that there was a leak in one of the coils, and all the Freon had escaped. American Home Shield guaranteed that things would be repaired. Because they were guaranteeing that, they would send competent technicians. After having bad experiences with plumbers, I switched over to them. I had a plumber who didn't fix the problem and I called AHS. They then sent IRH Plumbing for my claim and they provided great service. AHS has been responsive and I've been happy with them.
