My air conditioner stopped blowing cold on Friday. I reported the problem to AHS online and was given a repairman for the next day, Saturday. He arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem which could not be repaired. Turns out I needed a new compressor. They replaced the compressor less some current code requirements and the bulk of the refrigerant cost, totaling $505. Compared to the cost of a new compressor, labor, etc. , I think I got a pretty good deal. The unit was only 25 years old, so it was a deal. My only problem wi... read more
I submitted a claim to AHS online for my dryer that wasn't working. GE Appliance Alabama came out. The tech called when he was in the area which was earlier than expected. He did the work and he was good. The dryer has been working fine since he came.
The repair person that came from a one repair in Carson City was awesome he diagnosed the problem and got it fixed once the part came in. The issue was the part was in New York and evidently American Home Shield does not pay for two-day shipping so we had to pay an extra $60 to have our heater part shipped sooner to us. We live in the mountains and it is still cold! We had to run heaters throughout the house for a week before the part came in and of course it was the weekend when we realized the boiler was not working. Then ... read more
The main switch on my garage door burned up. I paid Home Shield $75 and they sent somebody to check it out. Capital City Overhead Door came out and I had to pay an extra $125. I thought I had full coverage on everything but with the policy I got, Home Shield doesn't cover everything. I had to get my air conditioner replaced. They said they couldn’t repair it and I had to buy a new air conditioner. Home Shield gave something on it but that cost me three grand.
Mister Freeze HVAC came out last Thursday for our AC unit. He assessed the issue, and then wrote up the report and submitted it back to AHS. He was very on time. He explained everything to me. He was very good, very courteous, well-mannered and nice. I don’t have any complaints. However, as of today, I haven’t heard anything.
It's easy to work with American Home Shield and True Blue Pool Service contacted me very fast. They showed up and diagnosed the failure in my heater. They didn't have the part but they got it really quick. I think the next day, they already had the part and they fixed the pool. Then it was working really nice after that.
I love American Home Shield and I recommend them to all my family. When my pump wasn't working, I called them and did the automated prompt. They said within 24 hours, I'd get a call from the contractor and I did. Triton Pools & Spas came out. They were very excellent, very professional, and they did a good job. Sean explained everything to me, and since I'm not a pool person, I asked him if he could speak to my husband, because he wasn't home. I called my husband and he got on the phone and talked to him, and my husband knew... read more
My experience with Appliance Pros went well. I like the tech's detail to work and he was very professional. He did a great job.
The freezer was just locked up. It was all frozen up. There was a recall on the refrigerator, which I didn’t know about, and that part hasn’t come in yet. There was a known issue with the drain as well. The contractor repaired that. He’s supposed to come out and replace the freezer seal once the part comes in. He said it could be three to six weeks. The contractor was on time. It’s all been good so far with American Home Shield.
