I called Home Shield for a stove claim and talked with somebody. That was the second time that stove has been worked on and the first time it was fixed. Home Shield needs to investigate the people they send to your house a little bit better. The first guy that they sent to work on it didn't have a clue what was going on. I've been really impressed with AHS. My contract is up and I'll be renewing for my third year. I bought the coverage because I had my house on the market and because it was 10 years old, I've imagined the time when things start to go wrong. And then, the house didn’t sell. So far, I'm really impressed with American Home Shield. Filing a claim is easy. In 2 days, a contractor came out and fixed the stopped drain in the kitchen. He was excellent.

I called up American Home Shield for preventative maintenance. They got in touch with the contractor. The contractor called me and said he'd be out there Tuesday at 2:00, and he was there. He checked out the system and everything is good. He's been out here before, last year, and he was good. I would call him any time. There was a time before, too, I had the ice maker and the refrigerator went bad. I called American Home Shield. They sent a tech out and he fixed it.
I heard about American Home Shield years ago from friends and family but I grabbed them this time because they covered everything in the house. I bought new appliances and so, opposed to me getting coverage on one item, someone said I should go ahead and get AHS because it covers everything. For my first claim, I had some issue with some of my outlets. I did it on the website but I called because I had some extra questions. Someone came the next day and I’m satisfied with the work that was done.
They were very timely to get the order in, the service group called, and by the end of the week they came and replaced the pump. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. Very good experience!
Sink went bad at the same time our water heater went out during the Covid19 stay at home order. This was a time when every modern convenience was at a premium, plus hot water is utilized to clean and disinfect many surfaces, areas and our own personage. To say the least, I was in hot water with no hot water. Nonetheless AHS came through on all counts, and restored a sense of normalcy in a chaotic time.
