America home shield is very good for what it is. I've made 2 claims. My 1st claim was for a dryer & they had to come back an extra time & as it turned out they DON'T cover the exhaust line. They "said" they were going to clean the inside of the dryer and replace basically the whole inside. They did replace the parts though. However since I had to replace the hose myself I took the back off & no one had cleaned the inside. I was a bit pissed but overall they were polite & courteous & punctual so I didn't complain. The 2nd cla... read more

Our HVAC unit wouldn’t turn on. I went online and filled out the request to American Home Shield. The website was fun. It was a very enjoyable experience. I submitted the claim on a Saturday. And then, I got a text from someone saying that it was in the queue and they'd be out here on Monday. A&A Heating and Cooling came out, and they were a little late. My wife was here and she said the issue was fixed. It was some sort of a loose wire and it was an easy fix. Our experience was pretty good. I thought it was the thermostat, ... read more

This far (one claim) we have been very happy with our warranty. It was resolved quickly and the contractor that responded was great. Hope the service continues in the future!

We had something wrong with our dryer and submitting a claim for it with AHS was perfectly easy. I did it online and it took less than five minutes. The technician they sent out was great. He was out within an hour. He went over and beyond outside of what we actually needed and got us a couple of new things for our dryer.

I’ve had AHS for at least 17 years ever since I’ve lived here. They do a good job as far as getting people out here. I understand when I called them Friday or Saturday that they're not gonna get anybody ‘til Monday and they’ve been good about going that. But this recent claim has just got me confused. I first called it in on the 20th. AHS told me $75 for the toilet and the Whirlpool and they gave me my confirmation number. One came out for the commodes and then another one came out for the bathtub. Everything went fine until... read more

When my high-tech KitchenAid refrigerator wasn't producing any ice, the first few people that came out here, it was almost like it was about their pay grade rather than knowing how to fix the thing. The first company that came out here was about three people, and they never came back. Then AHS sent another guy out and he showed up about three times, but he couldn't figure out what the issue was. Then these people came out, ordered small parts, came back, and put it in. Then the refrigerator started making ice. We were with S... read more

The first person Sears sent out was nice and very professional, but he was a chatty patty and misdiagnosed my icebox. I’ve had Sears come out for my other appliances and I’ve never had a problem before. I asked to have somebody else come out and had to wait an additional week. That contractor was fine though. Then on my dryer or my washer, I was charged a little bit more compared to the last couple of times I’ve had AHS come out and I’m not sure why. It was at a 100 like it used to be.

The little knob that you push to turn the bath into the shower was broken. I called Home Shield and they did a great job. The rep explained how it was gonna work and told me that the contractor would contact me within 24 hours. But 30 minutes later, the contractor called and said they'd be here on a certain timeframe the next day. It was very fast. The tech came and assessed what was going on with the bathtub upstairs and the garbage disposal. He went and got the parts needed, came back and fixed it. He was very pleasant and... read more
