AHS's claims submission process is really easy. and they are doing their job well. Before January, I had some problems. They charged me $100 and thought that the person came out to do the job, but the person never did. I called in to tell AHS that that didn’t happen and in a matter of days, they refunded me my money. Whenever we have any other issues, we call them and they call us back with an appointment. The contractor comes out and gets the job done. We had Socal Appliance for our dryer. The belt broke and we've been wait... read more

Our real estate agent connected us with AHS during our closing procedure. Our claims process has been great. It was very easy. However the online process for scheduling service claims is a little cumbersome. It could be more intuitive. Other than that their contractors have been good.

American Home Shield has excellent customer service. I’ve spoken to some people there and I’m glad that we have the policy. When submitting a claim, you just do it online. It’s a very user-friendly application. We plug in the information, they accept it, an appointment is set and the contractor adheres to the appointment. The stove top in our kitchen was cracked and the technician came by and fixed it. He was awesome and he provided the service in an outstanding level. We've had a lot of contractors do the home and I've had ... read more

My faucet in my bathtub was leaking and it did not have a lot of water flow. I submitted a claim on it online to American Home Shield. It went fine. Their website was very user-friendly. On Time Plumbing & Heating came out and they met the expectation as far as the time frame and the service provided was good. The water flow is still not like it used to be, but it’s okay. There are no leaks now.

Air Link Mechanical came out for an AC issue. They handled it fine and they replaced the air conditioner. However, I was displeased with the whole American Home Shield coverage and how much it was gonna cost us that we had already been paying for it for two and a half years. I felt that more of it should have been covered and since we ended up upgrading it anyway. I did not realize that they only pay $600 of coolant, which was gonna end up costing us another $600, on top of the $100 service call. So, they were wanting to rep... read more

My mother in Florida had a warranty and we talked about it. She recommended that I get one, so I did some research and came up with American Home Shield. Choice Home Warranty was the other one that I was going to do, but they rubbed me the wrong way. AHS's contractor Ginny's came out for our dryer that was squealing badly. I submitted the claim online and their website was easy to navigate. The time it took for the contractor to show up was reasonable. They were easy to work with, and their technician was top-notch. He expla... read more

Amtec Services came out for our appliance issue. I requested that the service person wear gloves and mouthpiece. Because of the virus, I asked that he come prepared. He got the job done quickly, professionally, and he put his shoes off before he came in the house. It worked out well. My only big concern was that seven months ago AHS increased my monthly invoice without letting me know. I also don’t like the $100 deductible all the time. I don’t know if every job is worth that amount. I call myself a handyman but when there a... read more

I am tired of spending money out of my pocket and one of my co-workers recommended American Home Shield. They did a great job on my air conditioner. It was getting cold over there. And I had had a guy come out for a hot water heater. He turned that switch off, and there was really nothing wrong with it. The guy just came out there and made sure everything was running fine. AHS reps did a good job. They were very professional and timely.

I started the service with American Home Shield in 2019 at the recommendation of someone else. We were looking for this kind of protection for our home and this person had it. When my washer wasn’t spinning at all, I simply made a phone call to AHS for servicing and I was given the name of the contractor by whoever I spoke to at that time. That person was very supportive and they followed-through with what they said was going to happen. They gave me an expected time frame for them to contact me by phone, and then that phone ... read more
