We have had good experience with AHS. The best part for me is having one number to call and not trying to find the best repairmen. I liked that feature so much that we've had a plan for 22 years. We have had work done on a number of appliances and have had at least replaced a dishwasher, washing machine, and refrigerator. I do wonder if it would have been better to put the monthly fee into savings and paid it out of that. So I guess one has to decide if convenience is worth the cost.

I have had American Home Shield for five years now and while I don't always call them for minor repairs I do call them when I think something could get costly and they always provide me with a fast dependable service provider, American Home Shield might cost a bit more than other Home warranty companies but the service providers they have sent me have been top notch....

Prompt in replacing microwave, but there was not an installer in my area and they never got back to me on who could install. Finally hired contractor to install and they said they would cover up to $125 of install fee. Wish I would have heard from them before I hired contractor. They said the check is in the mail. I'm sure they will follow through, but just waiting for check.
