After requesting service on-line, I have needed to contact the contractor myself to set up an appointment time. After that, the contractors have always been prompt, courteous, professional and thorough. I am very happy with the quality of repairs and Home Shield's program. Well worth the premium for the peace of mind.

My furnace went out after purchasing this home 6 months ago. I went online and submitted a claim at 0400 in the morning and the agents from American Home shield got back to me within a couple hours. They had a HVAC technician out there that day and it was repaired within 3 days due to needing to order a part. Absolutely the best investment I've made, the one year plan cost $600 that the sellers paid for and this repair alone would've cost $800 but I only paid $70 for the service call. AHS has been honest and transparent with me; unfortunately some of their contractors operate with a less than stellar commitment. Fortunately, AHS listened and switch contractors, when I made future service requests for similar appliances.
This is the first time I’ve had a home warranty. I chose AHS from a friend’s recommendation. I like the online services, but the phone and chat services need a lot of improvement. Phone calls on average take over 90 minutes to just speak to anyone. The chat maybe a little faster, but disconnects when waiting and is unreliable. AMH was very concerned about my home repairs. They were very helpful and quick at resolving my issues with broken appliances.
We have had AHS for both our personal residence and our rental home for a number of years. When we had a problem with any mechanical system, they were able to take care of all concerns promptly and completely.
We had some problems with our furnace and AHS replaced it without any hesitation. The local company they used to service our furnace was great! Professional and installed without any problems.
