The quality of the warranty is good however the customer service lacks. We were given a service fee credit but was not reflected on my online account to use so i had to call. Then once I used my credit, i still received a bill! It seems like their systems are not connected which lengthens the tramsaction. Very frustrating...I'm not sure we will renew this year.
Once I set through a long wait to speak to a customer service rep., things picked up. My appointment was made for one day later and I am very happy with the repairman and the result.
The repair person was wonderful. He was very professional, thorough and answered all our questions. He really wanted to find out what was wrong with our air conditioner.
Service was quick and professional and the service men were courteous and helpful. They were genuinely interested in solving the problem. Even having to return to our home for another visit was not a problem. Since our refrigerator could not be repaired they replaced it.
The wait time to talk to a rep is ridiculous so if you're busy, don't try calling them. We have been hung up on and transferred to other when reps aren't in the mood to deal with problem solving. They schedule service promptly, but it took several days once they approved the repair to actually have it done. We had to get a second opinion from an additional vendor through them, and were never made aware they would try to bill us our deductible again for this. AHS was great, I just purchased my home in March and the inspector didn't see any problems with my AC but when it was time to use the AC, there was a problem. I called AHS, and they sent a company out to evaluate the problem and they discovered that I needed a new compressor, it would have cost me over $2,000 to replace the part but all I had to pay was a $75.00 service fee and $175.00 for the refrigerant. Our AC had failed middle of summer everything was done in a timely manner with no issues or no problem and we appreciate it. I recommend home Shield to everyone
wait time for phone conversations is quite long. service and remedy of problem discussed is excellent.
