I have been a customer for 10 yrs. AHS has great customer service. The phones are manned with people who have patience and understand their customers concerns. They are professional and knowledgeable. I have recommended many people to AHS. It is a good co.
I recently had a plumbing issue and needed it repaired. AMS helped me get scheduled and the work was completed in a timely manner. Thank you American Home Sheild.
American Home Shield almost totally relies on the customer making appointments on line. Plan on long waiting times if you want to talk with someone on the phone. There is no way to contact them by email. If you have a water heater that their supplier does not stock, you will not receive service. They will send you some money for the repair, but we had to put about $300 more than they gave us to replace the water heater. Our request for service was December 25. We finally received a check on February 2.
I call, companies are sent out, even second opinions, right away. Great service!
Good service, feel that $730 for a dead furnace was a little low since it cost $3000 to replace.
Customer service is excellent once you finally get off hold which generally takes up to 30 minutes. AHS really need to shorten your wait times. Also, the last claim the repairman said I would be notified by email and/or phone on the status of my replacement dishwasher. I was not notified and eventually had to call AHS to get the ball rolling on the replacement.
Over the years I have had certain appliances break down and having AHS saved me a lot of money. It's worth having even if you only use it once a year. Just pay the deductible and your set. AHS is prompt with getting the subcontractor to get in touch with you either the same or next business day to set up an appointment. Having AHS will be your best investment you can ever have when you own a home.
The manager of the authorizations department was kind and very helpful. One of the customer service reps of the department was not, and pretty much told us there was nothing else we could do. Once we spoke with the manager, she guided us through the whole process. Very grateful for her.
