I previously wrote a review 2 weeks ago and was contacted by AHS with the following response, "We understand your disappointment. It’s important to us that our customers are more than satisfied and we would like the opportunity to resolve this issue immediately." AHS requested my contract number which I promptly provided. After 5 years of doing business with American Home Shield and paying $40, $45, 50 per month and $125 each service call plus $700+ for uncovered Freon I am finally fed up with how they handle customer service. #1 - the first assigned "pro" is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS the worst. Our A/C has needed repairs 2xs during our contract. Both times, our first "pro" wasn't able to get to us for 4 days. 100 degree weather with no air for 4 days is unacceptable. #2 - When the "pro" does come they NEVER fix the problem in the first visit much... read more

I have not had a microwave for 6 weeks. Repairman said could not be fixed and needed a new one. He sent in paperwork and said it would take 3-4 days for their response. That was July 16 and August is now behind us and still no response. I have made numerous phone calls and no response. Very discouraging.

I am not happy with customer services. It is too hard to explain things and trying to understand while trying to explain your problem.

Home shield can be some what confusing. Why do I have to pay for service and send a receipt before getting paid? Why are the coverage not up to date with cost?

Terrible coverage! Needed a new faucet for my garden tub and wanted me to pay an additional $485!

Failure to pay items which have age other companies would offer to fix or pay nothing else to add but if I must

If I could give a negative rating, I would. In JULY 2020, a representative offered a $50 deduction to renew my contract. I foolishly renewed; she charged my credit card the price after the deduction on July 29, 2020. In SEPTEMBER (2 months after renewal call) received a bill on 09/25 (dated 09/14) due 09/30 for $50.01. On 09/25 spoke to Darline (ID nnnnnnn) said she would call back next day between 1:00-2:00 - she didn't. Also asked to speak to Supervisor, didn't get transferred.
