Very poor customer service. I waited 2 weeks for a new water heater over Christmas and no rep helped me. They just told me it was in the hands of the contractor. It was a nightmare.

Based on just their customer service, which is not U.S. based, and they are extremely difficult to understand, I would give them 1 star. However, I've had no service calls so I truly can't comment about value for money, dependability or quality. That's why those items are 3 or neutral. Although I do have a friend who says their service sucks. I'll give them 2 stars simply because. However, I am looking into different companies.

Foreign customer service reps who can't speak or understand English.
Their practices are deceptive; ads that currently running states that they will replace an appliance if it can't be repaired. What they fell to state is that the homeowner will be responsible for the majority of the cost to replace. If you choose not to use the service provider they contracted, you can receive the 'cash out' option which is far less than the cost of the equipment and dies not include labor!

They send out incompetent contractors that often don’t do the job correctly and use inferior parts

customer service is not good. Difficult to speak with a rep. On hold for long periods of time. The techs who came to my home provided excellent service.

American Home Shield is the worst! Their customer service is terrible, the repair company was rude and did not fix the problem and then caused water damage in our home and then AHS refused to pay for the damage caused. Their go to is to hang up on you when you ask for a supervisor. Horrible. Our water was even turned off to the house for 6 days and they would not help us. I wish I could say 0 stars.
