Agents varied in ability to help. I had a refrigerator issue. The first service was in May. I was promised a call back from then since it could not be repaired. I never received a phone call. I had several phone calls(over an hour) to resolve the issue. Finally, I was told a certified Samsung repair man would be needed to confirm that nothing else could be done. Do not get this insurance since it is scam. First of all, any time you have an issue you have to pay $75.00 for them to come and check the issue. Second, if the company that they have send has not fixed the issue you need to call American Shield to send that company back but they world not send them back right a way. For example, we had a leak that American shield had assigned a plumber to fix the issue. AHS gives customers the runaround. Can't say how many times l have had to intervene with them or their contractors to get my work complete. Right now l have a plumbing issue that has been opened for three weeks and only partially complete.

It took them 5 months to find the problem with my refrigerator, the Sears kept the wrong part for 4 months, finally the last man saw the problem and ordered a replacement

They hire contractors that mostly have 1-star yelp reviews.. because those contractors are not able to fix anything.. I am on month 9 since my dishwasher broke. Spend hours on the phone, my case was "referred to contractor relationship unit", "expedited", "referred to supervisor". They promise to call you back and NEVER do. I still do not have a working dishwasher.

Service calls are great but trying to get in touch with you to follow up on replacement issues are ridiculous. 3 hour phone wait. I will not recommend.
