Have had AHS for five years, but this last service has been so complicated that we have realized AHS is not worth it. They have failed at providing capable and qualified contractors to fix the repair needed, and when contacting them they are not helpful at resolving the problems or concerned with the holding and contact transfers between representatives or the lack of customer service they provide. Have had from 2 to 4 homes under contract with AHS for the past 15+ years. Two years ago one of the homes needed 2 appliances replaced that AHS had replaced 7 years prior and I had paid them to upgrade them from my Jenn Aire appliances. The dw took 3 months to replace and the dw they were replacing I paid them $484 to upgrade from my JennAire to a GEProfile as they say they only have to agree to a "like" product and when I asked what they meant I was told a different answer with each of the 3 different folks I spoke with, no... read more

I know it was at the end of the day but I was on hold for 45 minutes to talk to a rep regarding a problem. Also, the problem was for a previous service call that had been closed but later found to not be fixed.

I am unable to rate AHS lower than 1 star for 2 reasons: 1)The scale doesn't go lower and 2)They have a slick campaign and spend lots of time with false positive reports apparently propping up their ratings. STAY AWAY, I cant emphasize enough. This company is a scam and should get 5 stars for running the best scam They find loop holes to deny, falsify responses and generally send the lowest ranked and cheapest contractors out who in turn bad mouth them but are held ransom by AHS decisions. Air Conditioner went out. AHS charged me $100 to have a repairman come out and and my compressor was bad. I was told I would have to pay an additional $900 as AHS does not cover the replacement of Freon or the caps. At this point I decided to purchase a new unit and it cost me over $7,000. AHS covered only $700. I was disappointed since I was already out $69 every month plus $100 for service call. So that is like I got $531 actually towards the cost of the new A/C unit. Don't do business with AHS. This company needs to be shut down by the federal government. They do absolutely nothing to reduce your costs. My central air went out and they wanted to charge me $2100 dollars for a coil and Freon. That's absolutely ridiculous. This company is running a predatory scam along with the so called contractors assigned to fix your issues.
