My furnace went out on January 11 and it will be fixed on February 10 so we have been without heat for a month. When I called customer service I discovered that the entire service was outsourced and of little help because they do not have any authority to make decisions. They’re pleasant but unable to get answers for us.

We have been without heat since November 19, 2020. We have called them everyday for the past 70 days to try to get this resolved. A different person answers the phone and we get a different answer every time. They will not let us talk to a supervisor and say they will escalate the situation. The contractor only came out twice and didn't fix the issue, they were supposed to come back with new parts and never did. We have also tried to contact the contractor with no luck. American Home Shield is a scam. They have no customer service. They use long hold phone calls to call centers in the Philippines and the Caribbean to apologize for taking money with giving you unqualified rude dishonest technicians. In my experience, I made service calls that were not serviced by the Technician AHS and was charged but not got the service, then I had to put on long holds and yet to receive the service or the money back. My kitchen faucet stopped working on May 26,2020 and I requested service from AHS. It is now July 28,2020 and my faucet is still not working. The contractor assigned by AHS ordered the wrong part from Delta Faucets 3 times and when it did not work they blamed Delta. I have discussed my problem with at least 7 AHS representatives, 4 supervisors, and 3 escalation team members and my faucet is still not working. I have a policy with Fidelity National and to say the least, not too happy with them. It's about to expire so I thought I'd give American Home Shield a try. I signed up with them in the first week of July 2020 with the understanding that the policy would start on August 1st 2020 and that's when the billing would start. I've called AHS for 4 different appliances. 1 appliance (AC) things went ok. The other 3 have resulted in multiple visits without a good result. The kitchen faucet had almost no water coming out but the water line feeding it was fine. AHS refused to fix the faucet because they don't fix water pressure issues. I had to go get a new faucet and install it myself. The fridge issues have resulted in multiple visits always for with same outcome. Fridge works well for 2 months and the issue comes back.
