10-year customer. This company provides the worst customer service ever. They do not call you back they do not follow up with what they say they're going to do. They do not return your calls or emails they do not care about any issue you have except making their monthly payment. They will send contractors out to your house to break your appliances and not cover you. They leave you in an endless loop and never resolve your issue. OMG...I need about 6 martinis to tell this story, but have to say without a doubt, that AHS is THE WORST warranty company that I have EVER engaged! 3 different issues...MONTHS in duration and countless dozens of hours and contacts to try and sort things out that are seemingly NEVER "covered items" even after 3 technician visits (who all have a different diagnosis). ...the failures included: dishwasher, shower handles & dryer...their conclusion, "failed due to improper use." Very disappointed with my American Home Shield home warranty. We had an issue with our A/C that required repairs. AHS is covering a small portion of the costs, with low quality equipment (rather than doing a like-for-like replacement). Even worse, because AHS is only covering the cheaper part, it is requiring more labor for the contractor to make that non-matching part work with my system...costing me more money, and resulting in a less efficient system only having half the warranty as is standard with a standard like-for-li... read more

My fridge died, and I called AHS immediately. Ten days later, I had spent more than $100 in ice to live out of coolers, and my fridge was still broken. By then, two separate contractors had come out and recommended replacement, but AHS insisted on more testing to diagnose the exact location of the leak. This would have taken an additional one to two weeks, which meant we would have been without a working fridge for weeks. We have been with AHS over 10 years, but Customer Service has become proressively worse. Our AC-Compressor running inefficiently, as diagnosed by technician, but AHS refuses to honor their contract due to 'unit is still running'. Spent countless hours on hold, but cannot get hold of USA person. This is worst company ever and we wasted lots of hard-earned money. We now pray this company is shut down soon.

They charged me for a 2nd service call for the same problem that wasn't fixed the first time.

Customer for almost 9 years. Having issues with ac unit. Was told earliest someone could get here was Tuesday. Well, the unit started leaking water and we called to see if anything could be done to speed up process so water damage to house could be limited. We were informed that a technician already agreed to a day and timeframe so this wasn’t possible and needed to be patient. Terrible job You can make many calls and no follow ups will be done They charge you before the work is done DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You will be sorry

You have to give a star for this to post. They should have a negative star factor because this company would get negative stars. My ejector pump went out and their contractor told me if was from, "Misuse." How can you misuse an ejector pump? What it does is eject poop. The company they sent out then tried to sell me a $2,000 replacement for the unit in place. I had another contractor friend stop by and he just cleaned the pit and unjammed the float.
